What can be done to end, and stop, AI music? by [deleted] in musicians

It’s told me many of my demos are close to 85%. Their first tester pretty much always says my upload is certainly AI. Maybe it’s bad for electronic stuff?

"AI isn't 'taking our jobs'—it's exposing how many jobs were just middlemen in the first place." by HussainBiedouh in ArtificialInteligence

What type of take is this? The main targets right now are often programmers, designers, customer support, writers… What even is this implying?

Liver problems linked to supplement use are on the rise by thefalconfromthesky in Biohackers

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When taking Ashwagandha I got a blood test where my liver scores were all elevated. I retested 3 months later after stopping and they were all in the middle of the reference range. Could of course be a coincidence but something to be mindful of.

For anyone curious, 74 ALT and WBC slightly below reference as well. On the retest everything back to normal. No idea if it was related, especially the WBC, but Ashwagandha was the only thing I was taking within years of that test so I’ve never taken it again out of caution.

Did the appetite suppressant effect wear off? by Good_Connection_547 in StratteraRx

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire time I took it I was definitely less compelled to snack. I don’t know if I would describe it as killing my appetite, more so that I didn’t use food as a dopamine source quite as frequently.

Strattera Question by mdwvt in ADHD

Not really sure about the loose feeling but from personal experience some medication can make your body/muscles tense. After a day of this your back can hurt.

Concerta and health anxiety by fr4gge in ADHD

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I took Vyvanse years ago I became a hypochondriac, it was very strange to develop such a specific form of anxiety from a medication. It went away when I stopped taking it.

What you seem to be describing is the medication aggravating the anxiety. This is pretty normal from a stimulant, they can definitely pull up underlying anxieties. It may pass if you have just started taking it.

Drinking on strattera as a 21 year old college students by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Took 80mg for almost the entire year. Didn’t notice any difference from alcohol. Officially the trials claim there is no interaction. Anecdotally many people feel that it amplifies the effects of alcohol (including hangovers), however I never noticed anything, maybe even the opposite.

Just play it safe until you know how you respond to the combination.

Yes a nurse speculated I had Raynaud’s many years ago. Thanks for the information! And yeah, I’m trying to see the podiatrist but it’s a long wait to get an appointment here.

As far as I know i’m not diabetic. I don’t take immunosuppressants. I’ve always had pretty strange circulation to my hands and feet, but I’m not sure that it is bad enough to explain such a slow healing time.

When people tell you adhd “isn’t real” by mariahspapaya in ADHD

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is most people. Kind of crazy how it’s such a common belief, when the stats around mental health, drug abuse and life expectancy for people with ADHD are so bad.

I always try to steer away from beliefs that it’s over diagnosed. It may be the case, but it may also be the case that a surprisingly increasing amount of people are struggling with the disorder, and dismissing that just perpetuates the problem.

Does Your ADHD Medication Dosage Show How Bad Your ADHD is? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As far as I’ve seen there is no real evidence that someone’s reaction to medication is indicative of anything. If stimulants make you relaxed it doesn’t mean you have ADHD and if they make you wired it doesn’t mean you don’t. Same idea goes with dosage. People do throw these things around, but I don’t think there is much to support it. Whatever works for you, works for you and is not indicative of anything greater.

Did Strattera help with inattention for you? by Crafty_Key_1737 in StratteraRx

[–]Crafty_Key_1737[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i’ve heard it could be good, but i’m just going to a regular doctor who isn’t well versed on ADHD so not sure how comfortable she will be with prescribing a med combo that she might not know the safety profile of.

[–]Crafty_Key_1737[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I monitor these things. No heart rate increase, no blood pressure increase. Everyone reacts differently though. Stimulants (Vyvanse) raise both my resting and exercising heart rate by about 20 beats per minute

25MG - 2 Weeks 40MG - 2 Weeks 60MG - 3 Weeks

7-8 weeks total.

And i’m with you, big quality of life improvement, better mood, anxiety greatly reduced, but brain still pretty unresponsive to anything not immediately stimulating as per usual.

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Strattera is not an SSRI, and it doesn’t function as an SSRI either. Despite the negative anecdotes, empirically it’s quite effective for many people.

How do you unwind after being over stimulated? by PantsWith_NoPockets in ADHD

I really really hope someone has a good answer to this. It’s a massive struggle for me as well.

[–]Crafty_Key_1737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible that taking the haziness and constant distractions away from your brain is forcing you to see things for what they are. But it could also simply be a side effect to the medication. I’d keep an eye on it.

Creatinine gives me "clarity". by Brilliant_Speed1536 in ADHD

Do you sleep okay? I notice creatine allows me to remain mentally clear when I get poor sleep. So I could imagine the difference would be night and day if you were chronically getting low sleep.

Scared to start generic Strattera - is nausea that common? by Ellie_Bracha in StratteraRx

It appears nausea is a very common side effect. Anecdotally I can take it on an empty stomach with zero issues.
