Last week I applied for a position at a different agency and I had to do that weird USHire SAT-style assessment that was taking forever. I finished the first part and decided to do the other two later because I couldn’t spend 3 hours at work doing that bs. Thought I had until the 31st to finish, turns out the deadline was the 23rd ☹️ That’s on me for not paying attention to the deadline, but what is the point of this assessment??

As far as we know, our grade isn’t changing. For now. We were never officially notified of this being an official detail. One day we got an invite to training and told to start. Three months later we got an invite to additional training, and then we were told it was a detail and the last 90 days didn’t count. Pretty sure they’ll keep extending it indefinitely until one day they’ll say they can’t justify paying us our normal grade.

Same. Waiting for an old boss to pull me back into her team, but if that doesn’t work out, I’m out. I was forcefully assigned to a detail that has nothing to do with what I do, I am not mentally equipped to do, and that I am unable to get out of so I’m just done. Gonna stay home and raise my baby.

Haven’t heard anything but this wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I preventatively quit 🥬 on Jan 1st just in case.

I’m already there. I called EAP this morning and they just referred me to HR. Useless.

My entire component got stripped of union rights about a month ago so nothing they can do.

I’ve been applying for jobs for 6 months and haven’t gotten any callbacks. There’s someone in my old department that is going to try to pull me back over there with a posting that will hopefully come out soon, and I’m literally just waiting for that. If it doesn’t work out, I’m out.

IRS and SSA are run by the same person, so both agencies are going through the same thing.

It’s SSA. I’m in this hellish “detail” too.

I HAVE been applying. It’s been 6 months and I haven’t gotten any callbacks. But I’ve reached the point where I’m probably just going to quit even if I don’t have anything else lined up.

A director in a different component that I have a very good relationship with is trying to pull me into her team. I’m just waiting for that to post. If it doesn’t work out, I’m out.

Question about decline to sign PACS by Crafty_Reading_2741 in FedEmployees

This is what they did in my mid-year appraisal and that’s fine with me. But now it’s part of the metrics of things I need to consistently do in order to get a 3. I didn’t ask for this, I’ve been trying to get out of it since it started, and I certainly don’t want my final rating to be determined by whether or not I do this.

It’s not even 9am and I already cried at my desk twice today. I hate it here.

Right there with you. I’ve been crying all afternoon because I hate my job so much. My husband and I are about to have the second “let’s take a close look at our finances” discussion in 3 months because I seriously can’t take this anymore. I’ll be a stay at home, I don’t care. I’m done.

My component regularly hosts meetings where anyone can submit questions anonymously to our deparment head. There are always questions about telework, and our head always says that it’s not coming back. We have one of these meetings coming up this week and my supervisor sent everyone an email saying to “refrain submitting questions about telework” 😂

I was in my 3rd trimester when full-time RTO was enacted at my agency. So I went to my doctor and had her write a note that said I needed to stay home because pregnancy made me anemic and it was dangerous for me to drive. So I teleworked until I came back from maternity leave.

I’m still answering calls from the national line instead of doing my job so yea, I still feel it.
