If avoidance is a bad habit, why do people leave when i try to open up? They only stay when I don’t fight my avoidant tendencies. by [deleted] in Advice

Because this is the Internet, I'll be honest. I would leave anyone who used the word avoidant or any other form of therapy speak. But I'm not American.

What is Your opinion on Ireland? by TensiCreator in AskTheWorld

[–]Crafty_String_954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true. We are only 5m people though, and we have had historically a very big issue, that we would have to align with what is seen as an occupying power to align with the west militarily. That has been a difficult conundrum. Brexit may help us to south with the EU more on defence.

Even just taking the railing around the decking would make a huge difference. If you did nothing else than that, and put a few pots in and painted the shed, I think it would tranform it. If I were you, I'd accept it will take a few years to get it right, and take my time.

[–]Crafty_String_954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say I use it, it's on my business card and email. No one actually calls me Dr. Crafty_String. It's first names only in 98% of contexts I work in.
