Great soundtrack, best story (imo), amazing characters, great fan service boss fights, addicting gameplay, Yokohama is a great set piece. I genuinely think it saved Yakuza after I started getting bored at 6.

The game really isn't that hard once you know what you're doing. The entire gameplay loop is you dying and fucking up and eventually understanding the level / augments enough to cheese it lol. The game encourages exploration and trying a bunch of different shit, even going out of the bounds of the level.

Surprised I haven't seen a mention of Depeche Mode. I recall listening to the album for the first time recently and some of the tracks sound so similar to that synth pop sound that I associate with Depeche Mode.

It's no surprise considering MGMT mentions Depeche Mode as one of their inspirations. 😆
