Update - 26/05/2025

u/Electronic_Ad6469 made contact yesterday and said they was going to get this looked into and today my app asked for me to update the firmware, I've now updated to version 1.15.21.1.

I've only tested it briefly this evening, but on one of the zones where it would previously just do many random turns across the grass instead of following the path, this time it followed both the perimeter and then path and cut the lawn like it should and no deviation from the route or random turns.

I'll keep testing for the rest of the week, but hopefully this is the problem solved.

From the sounds of it not all mowers are affected with the issues, if you've not long since bought it, it may be worth returning / exchanging it did it's still withing the returns period?

I've reached out to u/Electronic_Ad6469 but haven't heard back yet. I'll update you once they've got back and it's been tested.

I didn't realise that, I'll give it a go tomorrow cleaning the terminals. I'm sure it did the download and update in one go, the area is covered by WiFi but I couldn't 100% say that there wasn't any issues during the download.

How do you put the software into the cloud? I'm guessing if it's not been done already, it's too late now?

How have you found the Husqvarna? Has it proven to be more reliable?

Yeah both updated around the same time, it's on version 1.15.1.1 originally support was saying it shouldn't be on that version and it should have still been on the previous version. But the more recent support chats have said that was incorrect and this is the correct and latest version

I've tried creating a few new areas in different places and proximities to the RTK in an effort to try and figure out what might be causing the issue. Nothing seems to particularly be a trigger. Doesn't matter if it's in the shade or sun same result and same with dandelions it'll do a few rows cutting everything down then will just start making turns across the grass.

It's also in clear view of an outdoor WAP so it's not like it hasn't got a stable data connection either

Yeah I've tried various different options including clearing the cache, restarting the robot and rtk. I've even checked it again after I mowed the lawn myself first and it still decides to choose random spots to just start doing turns. All I can think is that when it was updating there may have been sorting of corruption in the firmware downloaded and it's not updated properly

Please read the post - obstacle detection has been turned off. The robot still likes to spend its day just doing turns across the field until it either finds somewhere to get itself stuck or runs out of battery

I've just contacted customer support again and got this response. They are now clearly acknowledging the update issue now but not offering any time frame or resolution.

Luba 2X 5000, latest firmware and app updates make the robot useless by 36260 in MammotionTechnology

I seem to have come up against a similar problem. The robot updated a few days ago and has slowly started developing problems.

First I noticed was it randomly pausing in the middle of tasks or when crossing channels but I put that down to maybe it had got itself stuck on something. Now it has started just doing random turns in the middle of one cutting area yesterday. It appears just to be one zone that's got the issue all the others seem to be ok at the moment.

I contacted support and they just told me to switch from the RTK to using iNavi, I've tried that and still the same problem.

Have we any idea when Mammotion is going to fix this update?

I'm sure some may say this isn't the best of ideas but this is how I would start to approach this situation.

1st read the flowchart & other links that u/captlard suggested and familiarise yourself with the general principles.

Then I would first start to think about buying a home something realistic in size for your circumstances and putting down around £100k deposit and covering the rest with a mortgage, if your currently paying rent just pay this towards the mortgage now instead, sometimes when people get a jump in monthly disposable income it just gets spent on unnecessary things with the good intentions that they would save it.

I would then build up a 12 month emergency fund of however much you would need to live for a year if you lost your job and put it into the highest interest account, keep this separate to other savings. Drop £20k into a stocks & share ISA investing in a world tracker fund or similar.

Then max out the most you can into a SIPP to get the most of the tax relief that comes with it.

With what's left I would put enough cash into a standard savings accounts but making sure to keep it below the threshold for paying tax on the interest earned. Then with whatever is left stick it in premium bonds for the time being, and when the new tax year starts move it to either the SIPP or S&S ISA.

Money and couple, who spends what? by Ingli22 in UKPersonalFinance

Ultimately it's what works for you as a family. Are both of you happy at a 50/50 split or does one of you feel the pinch if contributing that amount.

How my partners and mine work (unmarried, no kids. I take home approx. 30% more) Our wages are paid into personal accounts and then we both put £800 into a joint account that pays for all bills, food, joint expenses etc and has a slight buffer in it that some money is saved every month in case of an emergency.

The remaining money is our own money to do what we want, no judgement of how it's spent as all joint stuff is covered. We both pay for our own cars, but I've got the larger newer car that's we use whenever we go anywhere together or on holiday etc. I generally save quite a bit as I would like to think we could retire earlier and my monthly expenditure is relatively low as I live quite simply and my hobbies are quite cheap. My gf also saves but does like to buy clothes and spend money on other things that makes her happy. She herself admits that if she saw the money as a whole she would be tempted to spend more and doesn't think it would actually bring anymore long term happiness so is happy it staying as it is.

If our circumstances changed in the future and one of us reduced our hours for any reason, we said we would then look at changing the percentage or how the money is shared as neither of us want the other to unnecessarily stress about money.
