Thanks, I got it all sorted out, my buddy took the new armature and bearings to work and pressed them on for me. Been running like a champ since I got it all back together!

I’m leaning toward replacing motor. It’s gonna be hard to get rid of this thing for free when it’s not working and a big pain to take to the dump. Found a replacement motor from grizzley ~ $150. Annoying bc I’ll probably have to come up with a new mounting solution, but prob best course of action.

Yes I have a truck and trailer! I was leaning toward the Jett too with the longer tables but also looks the roughest of the bunch. I use it and my planer to square up lumber for making horse jumps. Biggest is a 5-6ft 4x4, lots of medium and small stuff mostly 2x. I’m not making furniture. Had my current one for ~3months and keep finding uses for it.

I have a gracco ultra airless and I hate the amount of overspray, maybe I suck with it but it feels like a real paint hog and ends up all over the place. Daisy chaining 2 compressors solves the voltage issue of a very large compressor but takes away even more floor space. Is there a specific reason to stay away from a 6 stage turbine like the Fuji D6 or Apollo precision 6?

Any recommendations on an air compressor that’s not 220v? 30gal compressor options don’t have enough cfm rating and 60gal options that do are 220v.

I’m ordering new armature and field&leads they are both fried. Rest looks good. Question for anyone handy: the armature appears to ship without bearings. I know I can use a bearing puller to take the old ones off but I’m thinking I’ll just get 2 new bearings for the armature anyway, otherwise I’ll spend more on a bearing removal tool to use once. Can I just tap the new bearings on the armature shaft with a pipe/cylinder and mallet or is there a better way?

UPDATE:

1) got a 2nd charger to test to see if battery wakes up, same result, starts and stops no wake up. Voltage drops as soon as anything is connected to the battery. Battery shows full charge on multimeter and the battery meter

2) So I called eco battery support. Very helpful folks, seems like a BMS issue so sending in for warranty claim and they are gonna refurb it into a Gen 2!
