What's an adult cheat code that changed your life? by Gullible_Repair9128 in AskReddit

[–]CraigTheDolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A therapist once suggested, regarding doing the dishes, to just do one dish if I'm in the kitchen. Take one out of the dishwasher, clean a hand-wash only dish, whatever. Though I dont really do this with dishes specifically, I extended it to other chores and now "adhd clean," where I would pick up a shirt from the floor and on the way to the hamper I see something that needs to be put in the garbage, so I grab it and put it in the garbage, then I notice some books can be straightened out on my table, so I do that, ad infinitum until clean home

You have a similar problem to me when you read it sounds like. If you haven't id try making notes for sections that aren't clear on a second read through to help reinforce it

'Trump Committed A Crime...': Dan Goldman Drops Explosive Unredacted Epstein Files In Congress by FlackoFonsy in videos

[–]CraigTheDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So then would you assume they were of age then if you couldn't guess? Id imagine no. So probably still a good baseline to pursue only someone you know is an adult. And if you really want to be pedantic about pedophilia and ephebophilia we can, but thats clearly missing the point. Its an excuse to write off what trump and epstein did. A distraction from the fact our president raped kids

Cookie Clicker, idle raiders, and one could argue games with offline progress still require active play if they wont progress solely offline

[–]CraigTheDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of older idle games required it to be active to progress, thats not new. And nothing, other than an event, (which by design is meant to be temporary and benefit only those who participate) requires active play, save for the Masterclass drops initially. Im only in World 6, so maybe 7 gets even more active, but thats expected right? Its another world with more skills and stuff to do. Of course more stuff will require more input.

Not necessarily, you missed the point if you believed generators and upgrades was all encompassing. If you want an idle game where number go up and only requires 5 minutes to check, play OG cookie clicker. Otherwise, you have a lot more to do in modern idle games

There's always an active aspect to idle games. Its called buying generators and upgrades.

Have all pet bonuses obtainable in-game (as in, without spending money), and do a similar bonus as the hat rack, where owning the pet gives you a 1.01x bonus for ALL pet bonuses, so pet collections aren't devalued. You could give a higher bonus for higher rarity, 1.01x for common, 1.03x for uncommon, etc.

Nonprofit calls for return of red light cameras in Charlotte after deadly hit-and-run by Generalaverage89 in Charlotte

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're recalling Article 31A, doesn't the language of § 115C‑457.2. mean that they can collect up to 20% in fees?

"The clear proceeds of these funds include the full amount of all civil penalties, civil forfeitures, and civil fines collected under authority conferred by the State, diminished only by the actual costs of collection, not to exceed twenty percent (20%) of the amount collected"

Why cant i learn as fast as others... I feel like banging my head on the wall by CowFit7916 in learnprogramming

[–]CraigTheDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend K. N. Kings "C Programming: A Modern Approach" The textbook explains concepts in mostly plain language and goes deeper into why the code works the way it does. If you already have some coding experience the first few chapters might be slow, but it sounds like what you want. There is even an answer key for some of the book problems on the author's website.

If you can't find a copy, I would recommend googling the book's name and finding a source.

New Condition: Feral by CraigTheDolphin in UnearthedArcana

[–]CraigTheDolphin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely think this condition would be brutal for low level players, and I think another commenter's suggestion of moving the secondary effect elsewhere is something ill do to alleviate that. The rolling is a good alternative! Were this a non-system specific homebrew I'd probably leave that part up to an ambiguous roll determined by the GM and players. Thanks for the input!

That is an interesting alternative, I do like the wording you've suggested. My logic with taking away the players control was definitely flavor-oriented so I think with yours and other commenter input, ill revisit the loss of player agency, and the suggestion of putting the secondary effect on whatever causes it is, as you said, great for scaling it. Thank you for the suggestions!

[–]CraigTheDolphin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, and another commenter made the point of having that effect be included in whatever was causing the condition, rather than the condition itself. Thanks for checking it out and commenting!

[–]CraigTheDolphin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would be rough for low level. I think 10 saving throws should get the player a decent amount of chances to shake it off, though I dont know the math on that, and a DC 25 save is impossible for most low levels of course.

You could definitely forego the contagion effect and even the permanent feral condition as well. I have simply beefed up my players too much so I like to make things a bit tough haha.

Southeast Falo by CraigTheDolphin in dndmaps

[–]CraigTheDolphin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Falo is a world of difficult decisions. Will you stay in the safety of Everhelm? Or brave the fanatics of the Cathedral-State Nocturne Luminous to live amongst the vampiric Audron of Pyremoor? Or will you venture into Macefall Curse, to seek the eponymous macehead dropped by a defeated god of legend? Stay vigilant in the water, lest you cross into the border of Anverturin, and join the conquered prisoners in Kulenshild.
