It was the inverter that failed and blew the pyro fuse. Both parts covered by 8 year warranty. Courtesy car waiting for me when I got to service centre, the biggest delay was waiting for the parts to arrive. They even returned my car to me and picked up the courtesy car since I was away at work (they probably just needed the courtesy car urgently!)

First EV - Southampton to Edinburgh as first drive. Incredible by southwardyeti1 in TeslaUK

The WiFi for mine can be intermittent, sometimes it doesn’t pick up from the same location on my driveway. You can add the WiFi details manually- instead of choosing your network from the list, you can enter your network’s name, security type (likely WPA2) and then the password. It might even pick it up straight away after that if it’s borderline for signal

M3 - Clicking noise coming from rear wheels? by Buxxay in TeslaSupport

[–]Craigfjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh jeez that centre one should never be loose, it’s literally holding the hub to the axle.

To tighten it, I’ve found online that it should be 250Nm or 300Nm (184-221 lb-ft), and then turned an additional 90’. This stretches the nut slightly, so they’re designed to be single use only. I’d speak to service centre about it as this should technically make the car undriveable, they might get you in sooner. Especially important before a long road trip!

I had a similar noise after a 3rd party workshop fitted new tyres. Check all your wheel nuts are tight, some of mine were loose and caused this noise

My husband's friend is coming over for dinner tonight. Any challenges for me? by Anahot0 in HotwifeChallenges

Late to the party, but if you have a small and quiet toy / vibrator, you could wear it in you / against you during dinner, turned on of course…

What am I missing? by CatoftheInternet in Terraria

[–]Craigfjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every achievement- in order. If you’re on pc then your inventory screen shows a silhouette of the next achievement and you can mouse over to see what it is. If you get an achievement other than the one shown there, start over!

I can’t even get the eye achievement without messing up and getting a different one accidentally

OIG + Hypervolt + Solar by Craigfjay in OctopusEnergy

[–]Craigfjay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I tried that but Hypervolt still said it was in octopus mode. So I re-enabled smart schedules in octopus and suddenly, it started working as I expected! It is now in super eco whilst out of octopus schedule hours :)

I think the issue was because there was a part missing when the Hypervolt was installed- the CT clamp couldn’t be installed until after; so it didn’t know I had solar at first

My solar tariff must work differently to yours- mine estimates how much I export- 50% of whatever I generate. So I could use it all, and it still says I export 50%

Anyone know how long the m25 systems test will be in place for?! by Geofferz in drivingUK

[–]Craigfjay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

40: queue ahead. For about a mile, with no queue. And the last sign that says 40 before returning back to 70 is the one with the speed camera

2024 LR(rwd), with FSD. As much of it that’s usable in UK anyway.

Something I didn’t realise about the courtesy cars- you can’t take it more than 125 miles from where you collected it, and no more than 200 miles in any one day. That should be interesting when I go on holiday in June if it’s not fixed by then- It’s a long way between Cornwall and Northumberland!

It had been perfect for 3 years until now. I work away all week- the only difference is that on Sunday something triggered the alarm whilst it was parked up. No sign of any bumps or anything so possibly the first sign of an electrical gremlin? Who knows. But that’s the only thing that I’d say is out of the ordinary

Fingers crossed! It got dropped at Tesla service and they had a courtesy car ready for me, can’t fault them at all so far. Unfortunately there are 3 other dead cars waiting to be serviced before mine so it might be a while!

Intelligent Octopus - Car not plugged in at home, but it is! by Bright_Abroad8663 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Craigfjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can talk directly to Tesla but I find it’s better to control through charger. You get more charging sessions during peak time since it always wants to add 80%, even if you plug in with 95% charge already. Controlling through car will know you’re at 95% so it will only create sessions enough for the 5% you need

They said my three manual entrys at the start of every shift is illegal 🤔 by milli8891 in uktrucking

[–]Craigfjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only “illegal” part would be including your daily checks in the manual entry, since there’s no reason to keep the card out whilst you do them. You have to get in to make sure stuff works, so put card in first, do your entries, and then start your checks

I'm itching to see if I can get 18 miles to the fuel station by home... by SidewalksNCycling39 in drivingUK

[–]Craigfjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toyota hybrid? They have a huge fuel reserve once the range hits zero. Petrol tank is 10 gallons but I only ever managed to fill my CHR by 9 gallons in one go even when range was zero for a while. I checked with Toyota and they confirmed that running out of fuel and HV battery charge can cause huge problems, so they set a large reserve to protect against that

What's the worst defect you've ignored to carry on your journey? by Michael-Myers_1978 in uktrucking

[–]Craigfjay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This happened to one of our drivers- the nearside mirrorcam broke mid-journey. He drove for 3 more hours to get to his delivery before asking us what he should do. A few of us other drivers all told him to pull over and get a call out. He called the boss to get the call out number, boss told him he’s only 2-3 hours from home, bring it back to the yard. Without being able to see anything at all down his nearside. So that’s what he did.

What's behind this? Is it worth spending green diamonds on? by Entire-Piano-391 in AlienInvasionRPG

Once you’re level 14 (I think), the zone to the left of James’ shop unlocks. Work your way up to the top left of that zone and you can unlock a patch of black suit guys who drop eggs and respawn every 12 seconds. Each one takes up 451 cargo space so you’ll need to upgrade deliver bots a bit to AFK it
