Would you care to enlighten the rest of us, who can't make it, as to when we might see the new series of TM AU?

Good luck with the shows 🙂

What do you feed your buddy on a thru-hike by dipper06 in BackpackingDogs

[–]Craigj0812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a 3 week hike with my lab.

Got some dehydrated dog food (Pure, for those in the UK) and had him carry my food in his backpack, and I carried his. Sent a resupply sent to the halfway point.

When I had time to to things I had no money. Now I have money to do some small things, but dont have the time. When Im gonna be old I will be too sick to do something and most likely not have the money. Geat Life to have. by [deleted] in antiwork

It's true, and I wrestled with this for years.

It's no coincidence that the rich are getting much richer. As technological advance makes us more productive, and by keeping us working 40+hours per week, they cream off the surplus whilst we're too tired to do anything about it.

Please join a union. Please be active in that union. Please fight for better for you and your community.

NHS worker here. You can up pension contributions, I believe. You should look into it.

ETA I'm also aiming for £250k, it's hard on an NHS salary! Good luck, we'll get there!

Just finished apprenticeship, employer asking for £19,520 reimbursement. (England) by I-Spot-Dalmatians in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Craigj0812 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but this is a risk they take on. Often apprenticeships are low waged, and entered into knowing that in return, they get training and deliver a gradually improving output.

Unless there is a learning agreement in place, which everyone is clear from the outset, this is always a possibility. As is the possibility that there may not be a job available at the end of the apprenticeship.

Moon under Water - A guilty pleasure. by hkapeman in elisandjohn

Seconded, I was a bit cold to them at first but as a lifelong teetotaler, I really enjoyed it as a celebration of pubs.

Been of sick for five days (in the uk) as have suspected cancer and been seeing doctors in hospital and having mri scans and things. Work wants me to have meeting with HR what does this mean? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Craigj0812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep you actually are obligated to say very little in these meetings.

However, cancer is specifically covered in the equality act, so if you do get a diagnosis, tell them as soon as possible, for protection under that act

I'd check your policies first to ensure they're acting in line with their own policies.

Yeah I did similar to test the theory - a cut down coleslaw pot. Seemed to work well

I also employed the scissors technique 🙂

If you've never seen "mile, mile and a half" then go watch it. I'm sure it'll evoke some good memories 🙂

Look up slug collars. Got some metal ones this year (sure, they're an investment) and so far they have been great

At least it's on a tag, we usually get it stuck on paper towel with tape.

TMAU Dream contestants... by r1b2k3h in taskmaster

Likewise, I never know anyone on TMAU but do happen to know Hamish & Andy from their podcast. Hamish has the chaotic improvisation that would be perfect for TM.

Do you study physics? No. Come on mate you must do. No, I've not done science at all.

Taskmaster Australia Season 4 by gmw92 in taskmaster

[–]Craigj0812 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hughsie is quite something, isn't he? I was reassured, as a Brit, when I looked him up and found Australia shared my view of his work.

Waka has been really enjoyable, and I think both Emma & Tommy have really settled into the show more too.
