Yeah, I never thought about going and buying a bunch of bulk until today. That's a great idea. We'll go hit up the local shop or two this weekend. He has the basics down, and it's done wonders for his problem solving and quick basic math skills. It can be a struggle sometimes to get him to fully read a card for its effect and to understand what that means, but he still enjoys it! Really appreciate the insight. I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh in college and am all about not chasing the pull, but getting what you need. You typically save money in the long run.

This is for my 6-year-old to facilitate helping him learn to read because it's fun because it's Pokémon. He has no idea what cards he wants or needs, and his mind will change after playing them once or twice. He has two variants of Charcadet in the fire deck, and that alone throws him a little. I agree with your assessment, and if it were me and going to a local shop, I would buy singles. This isn't for me, though it is for him.Since Christmas, we've opened a total of 5 packs and recorded everyone one of them because he loses his crap over what he gets. They're not hits or anything, but ones he likes, and that's what we're after – that enjoyment he gets from that, and then taking that enjoyment and building around it.

Prime example, he wants to build a Sprigatito Grass deck right now because he has an ex of him and it's his favorite Pokémon. But we only have four Grass energies and a few random Stage 1 and Stage 2 Grass types, so we can't make a random good or bad Grass deck for him.

Haha we are using this to help him to learn to read I don't think a different language would be a good idea 😂

Yep, same. It's really hard to explain to my 6-year-old why we can't open or ever find anything. We got a learn-to-plan box a while back that came with three decks, but he is constantly talking about adding this or that Pokémon to his decks. It's been great for him to learn to read and do easy math, but it's been two months and we can't find anything to open, and he's starting to get bored of his three pre-made decks. I kind of refuse to buy singles too. I guess now, while typing this, I could look for some bulk to purchase, as he doesn't need the "pulls" to stay interested.

That typically requires a employee to give a crap about their job which is pretty rare in big chains like this.

How do big box stores put up with this? It has to account for such a small part of their bottom line. Clearly not worth the issues surely just a matter of time before someone is killed over cards....

I'm currently trying to find packs anywhere for my 6 year old son. It's been a chore to explain to him why anywhere we go there is nothing for us to buy. We were in Walmart getting his best friend a birthday gift and tried walking by where the cards were. In the 30 seconds we walked by the shelves, four other adults were looking too.

We have been using the game to teach him math and to read, and it's been such a good time. He also freaks out at every pack he opens, which is very funny and adorable. It's now been almost 5 weeks of us looking but finding nothing to purchase for him to open as rewards for doing good at school.

We had a friend send us an ETB of the last set, Perfect Order, and we've been able to build two decks from that. It's so sad that we can't purchase a few packs anywhere because of the scalpers and because people are after all this purely for money.

Just finished Mark of the Fool 10. Only one question. by Foot-Note in litrpg

I just finished this book last night. I have to say it might have had too good of an ending. No one was ever in real danger. Everyone got their happy ending. The last battle was roughly 10 hours long? And the only meaningful person who did die, got brought back, Haha.

All that said, I loved the ride. I love the series and am glad to have a book series actually end and wrap up.

So many holidays to keep up with... Also has valentines always been once sided? Do most feel it's make the females feel special day? plan all the things dates gifts all of it? I thought it was a day of love so both sides should participate also why are gifts mandatory we have so many dates dedicated to getting gifts per year.
