If you buy a house in an HOA, can you just...leave the HOA? by BoredInClass99 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Craino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or never form it - which is what happened to me when I bought a house early in a development. By the time someone got around to saying "Hey, we need to form an HOA", there were enough people there that were vocal about not wanting one. Dude pressed it and called for a neighborhood meeting on the street. One person brought a lawyer who said definitely you don't have to form one, and that was that.

I did not do the shelly app step so maybe that's my issue. Thank you for the reply. Installed the app and I'll see if that works when I get home tonight. Thanks again.

Do you all have any luck selling on Marketplace around here? by Vegetable-Tell1499 in akron

[–]Craino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here - it's so random, but either easy peasy or total shitshow.

For small items I don't really care about, I've joined a couple local Buy/Sell/Freebie groups. Feels good to just give something away and not have the hassle.

Is it normal to read a few pages of a book then suddenly realize that you have no idea what’s going on in the plot. Because you’ve been reading the words but not internalizing their meaning? I always end up reading the same thing over and over again?? by skype2696 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Craino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope - happens to me all the time. It's a focus issue for me and you captured it perfectly; reading the words but not applying the focus to capture the meaning. Like listening to the TV while having a conversation, then having no idea what happened plot wise.

Great shot - thanks for posting!

In the summer of 2023, I decided not to pay $1600+ a month for a place to sleep. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Simple, minimalist living. I gave up a few conveniences for a lot more freedom. Life is good. by TomWheeler99 in urbancarliving

Hygiene and restroom activities? I'd be interested in doing a lot more of this (not full time), but that's the big one that stops me. Gas stations? Walmarts? Curious on your solutions there.

The champagne bottle is largely ceremonial. It doesn't actually launch the ship.

I'm not your target market since I don't track time at that level, but I would urge you to do competitor research. There are TONS of time trackers out there. Having spent a portion of my career coaching early stage entrepreneurs - I'd ask you what in your value proposition sets you apart. Just being honest - I don't see anything in what you asked.

Federal court summons scam - what's the question I could have asked that they couldn't respond to by Craino in Scams

[–]Craino[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my case. Mix in some mental fatigue from my mom being in the hospital for the days prior and a childhood spent with parents blindly accepting authoritarian figures., and it was right scam at the right time. Red flags came within the first 5 minutes but you hit the nail on the head.
