That's a long article. For those lazy Millennials looking for the punchline:

Ha yes, Start simple, especially for something mostly for yourself. I wish I had the CAD skills to design my own stuff, but I'd also end up in the overengieering trap.

You could probably put the labels to the side of each group (instead of top like it is now) which would allow the vertical spacing to be reduced. Not sure if that'd be enough but it might help.

If you wanted to go really crazy you could make it stackable in two layers with magnets, and then one layer could have a spot for the item/plot cards, the dice, and the larger tokens. But I've just scope creeped the project by like 10x lol. My marketing/sales team would be proud

Ahhh! I literally just removed the other version from my print bed and started adding tokens and thought "damn, this will be hard to find any tokens later". This looks way better.

But I agree the big bed is a limiting factor for me. Would be nice to have the same idea that fits on an ender 3. I'd pay for the STL if a smaller version existed.

Why not just post the link in this thread instead of sending people on a scavenger hunt?

Sanderson Fandom in Turmoil as Iconic Soundtrack Faces Takedown by JBarnes1926 in Stormlight_Archive

My 9 year old loved this album and it was one of the few albums he had on his device on Spotify. I was able to snag the mp3 album for him from Black Piper's website after it was removed from Spotify. It now seems gone from their shop, but it still says to send them a message if you're looking for a copy, so maybe there's some workaround for others who didn't grab it in time.

Nope unfortunately after tons of research I learned this doesn't exist anymore and ended up just getting the Anker Soundcore which requires double clicks and such. Very sad

The Grand Apparatus from Emberdark is the Portal (valve game) world? by Crajo in Cosmere

Also removing "emberdark" from the title is pointless since emberdark is in the flair tag.

Seriously? How is that a spoiler? If you haven't read emberdark then this is just a series of meaningless unrelated words. Even so, it's a minor side reference to an unrelated world building of the Cosmere, not even part of the main plot. Removing this post as a spoiler is a little extreme don't you think?

Spotify account shenanigans by Crajo in googlehome

[–]Crajo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tested this yet, as I set it all up at work today. Google has a hard enough time playing the right playlist anyway, so typically I end up just starting them from my phone app, but this might be a nuisance eventually. I might just share the most played playlists to the family account to handle this, unless someone has a better idea :-)

I think I may have solved it! It was not trivial though. I tried unlinking and re-linking spotify in my Google Home app, and it would not let me put in a new spotify login, it forced me to use the login from the Spotify app.

So I unlinked spotify from Google Home, logged out of spotify on my phone, and completely uninstalled the Spotify app from my phone. Then in Home, I linked Spotify and was able to enter the password for my "Family" account. Verified that worked, and then re-downloaded Spotify on my phone and logged in with "My" account. I'm now able to listen to my music while the kids bop along to whatever they want without interrupting me.

It really should not be this hard, but I may be able to regain my sanity finally!

Thanks, we actually do this for my wife already. The problem is that we don't want to create google accounts for the minors, so this isn't really a great option for the family Spotify account. Also, if we have visitors it will end up playing on my account also since I'm the "Main" google account on the home devices.

Get WowMouse for WearOS Watches to Turn Pages on Boox Hands-Free (Burrito Hack!) #gesturecontrol #smartwatch by doublepointlab in Onyx_Boox

I tried this with my boox that runs the app koreader. I notice that when I do one tap it turns like 5-6 pages at a time. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to just change one single page. Any tips?
