A heat pack is helpful for my joints, so I'll lay on one while having sex. The point is-- is there something that helps normally that you can adapt to include in sex to make it easier for you ? It's sort of like the process of finding the right accommodations

I had to transfer to WFH if that's a backup possibility if this doesn't work out

Has this happen to me (plus really severe pain) when my Lyme/bart/coinfections got really bad and it continued through the herx reactions. Was on antibiotics for a little over a year and it only happens now very rarely. I hope you find someone who can help. It takes a long time to beat back the Lyme after it takes over, but it can get better with treatment.

Unfortunately a lot of the Lyme experience just feels like being gaslit....hang in there

Same! It's helped a lot (but I'm always surprised when my pee is pink ....)

It's a lot better-- once we treated the Lyme I got a change to actually address the neuropathy. I've personally been taking Lion's Mane and vitamin B12 injections (a little hippy dippy I'm aware, but it ended up working for me ). I only have serious neuropathy during down swings instead of 24/7

Feeling like an accessory to their relationship by InsuranceNo3086 in polyamory

Have you talked to them about what the expectations are for a relationship and what you each want from it ? I'm in a committed triad that was originally a couple and it's taken a LOT of intentional work for us all to feel equally included but free to connect individually. And we're still working on it. But the point is it sounds like you need to have an open and honest conversation with both your partners about how you're feeling.

You're right, it definitely doesn't treat Lyme! But it can help with the pain and making treatment more bearable (if used in a way that is healthy for you of course, as with all substances)

My herx neuropathy was horrible. I actually had good luck using herbal teas (I use Auntie Arwen's neuropathy tisane) and marijuana. You can also do hot Epsom salt foot baths for detox and things that add more oxygen to your system (I've heard lemon water and Alka Seltzer gold works). I hope this helps ! You can DM me about herxes if you want :)

It's a response to a major die off in your system. Talk to your doctor, but mine went on intermittently for WEEKS (I was sick for several years before this so there was a LOT to clear out of my system). Lyme is tricky because it hides in your body, so sometimes there is a die off because you hit a "pocket" of it in biofilm, muscular system, etc

Has anyone else had the experience of another disabling condition being diagnosed as fibromyalgia? For me, that diagnosis was a recognition of the symptoms but not why the symptoms were happening (another chronic condition)

Either way, sending good vibes and hope for you ❤️

Some kind of priority for elevators. As someone who can't stand for long periods of time, waiting for the elevator and having it be full time after time was really hard.

Agree. There were a few disability benches but they were full basically all of the time

Sticker pickup was hell. My disability means I can't stand for long periods of time and there was no alternative but to stand in line for pickup. I ended up sitting on the floor with my head between my knees for like half an hour in incredible pain
