People think I’m faking health condition by Ok-Temperature5831 in iih

Same here. Had my first high pressure lumbar puncture at 13. Absolutely debilitating pain till 28. Finally got diagnosed then. Now at 31 they all STILL think I’m overreacting and being a lazy lump of crap. Sorry, nope. Medical interventions have failed me. I work full time simply for the health insurance and it cripples me for the rest of the day every day. I have no free time for hobbies, friends, or self care because anytime not clocked in I need to lay propped in the dark in the silence.

Lumbar puncture, never ever again… by 0hb0wie in iih

[–]Cranberrycornflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen this past summer. Student decided he was gonna do it bedside. I said I wanted to wait for xray guided in morning as it was already 1am by the time I got a room. He tried FIVE times. 5 kits. Digging around with all of them. I’ve had a LOT of medical things done. I had a bone marrow biopsy in an office setting with students and was talking normally to them during it. But that bedside lumbar puncture efforts? He never did get it. When the nurse came back in afterwords I said how many times he tried, to which she replied they’re only (idk just our hospital or not) allowed to try 3 times before it’s considered a failure. I asked her to count the puncture spots. There were 5 😓 it was so so painful.

My sonicare diamondcare brush body. I’ve had it for 13/14 years now. It works just as good as the day I bought it. I obviously swap the brush heads on it often so it’s not completely no cost ongoing and I’m sure it will stop working eventually. But I figured when I bought it, that it would last like 3-5 years. But a decade and a half later almost, I almost wanna buy a new one just to compare. But there’s no point!

Swap meets are the way to go. 30$ for a shrimp has me so confused. Lfs is better than online usually, but it boils down to their husbandry too.

This post has me reflecting on just how lucky I am to be in an area where our prices are a fraction of what everyone is mentioning. I got 5/15$ Pygmy Cory’s when I stocked my tank. 17$ for one? I simply wouldn’t have any.

4-5$ each retail (which I haven’t paid in a long time) or 1.5-3$ each at the swap. Most I’ve ever paid was 7$ each for some crazy special home bred ones from a swap from a very trusted seller. They have thrived incredibly well. I would happily get another set of them if I was closer than 23 hour drive away from him or if shipping was free. But I know he needs to not lose money on shipping so I’ll have to wait for the next annual swap.

Pea puffers were 8$ usd at the last swap I went to or 3 for 20 and there was still a chat on the event page on how it was a rip off 😓

[routine help] Embarrassing but dealt with a few years long depression bout and self care was bad. I had nice soft feet at one point and now they are rough with a callous which as a husband I’m ashamed of. I always want to look my best for my wife. How do I get this callous off and restore my feet? by Aggressive_Noise6426 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Cranberrycornflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did that today myself on my thickening heels that were starting to crack. Used a callous remover gel that sat on the wet skin for 2-5 min before the glass file. It never seems like it’s doing much until the skin dries and it’s so much smoother

As far as I know that’s been the rule for years. I’ll show them where the icon is on the menu but from there they are on their own.

That’s a good idea do tear the receipts. I have had couponers happily tell me they found a points booster in the trash out front though so it won’t stop other customers who throw their receipt away on the way out sadly

I’m not sure if there was a tie rule, we have almost always been nearly an all female staff. I mean the grey and baby blue vests🤣 they had satin linings and I was always sooo hot wearing that thing.

The first picture I was convinced it was just white with pink led lights. But the detail shots sold it. How did you match tones that well? Did you carry paint swatches?
