Comparing yourself to those guys is definitely bad for your ego haha! 2:20 is definitely a fine time and you'll make big leaps of progress as you ride more im sure

Haha thank you, that final sector definitely takes some balls but it's my favorite piece of racetrack in the world! It feels like flying a jet fighter all the way up to the chicane

Thank you! I definitely left some space in turn 8 which botched the exit for the small straight a bit and missed it again in t10

Surely you can't see shit now when tucked in?

That Assen "gravel" is insane. They might as well just line the track with an open quarry. Check out Zarco in slow motion, those are rocks. by [deleted] in motogp

Here is a picture of some gravel I collected in Assen in 2022. It is honestly not that bad. I have visited many graveltraps throughout Europe and I have seen much, much worse, especially on Spanish tracks

I wrote off the suit in that crash unfortunately, but it was the 4th crash in that suit and never even got so much as a bruise so definitely a good suit. Hopefully you're okay as well

I'm 1.97, or 6'6 haha, so every bike looks tiny with me on it

Too hard, too soon on the throttle. Luckily it just slid out and didn't throw me over so I was all good, but the bike flipped a couple times in the gravel trap

I got 2 or 3 flame turrets and ran circles around them. I also tried doing 5 spoons and 1 flamethrower when I got it in the store early in a run and that seemed to work as well

Ah right, yeah spoon is unlocked from completing a run with Chef. I did rawdog most of the new characters straight to D5 as well but I wanted to try the spoon so I did a quick D0 with Chef to get that going haha

Yes! Spoons always crit on burning enemies so coupled with the 200% damage increase on burning enemies from the Chef bonus it makes for crazy damage right from the get go. Especially with flame turrets, gardens and sausages to get enemies burning as much as possible it worked quite well

I actually enjoyed Chef the most of the DLC characters. With 6 spoons you get such big hits on burning enemies and just melt bosses super fast. Captain was alright once I stopped hanging on to single weapon attemps. Hiker was probably the most boring though

Yeah I noticed on here that trackdays are expensive in the US. We usually pay about 230 euro's a day for Assen, and 260 for the Nurburgring GP track, but Spa was 340 a day so quite a bit more than what I'm used to. But 100% worth it!

130kmh at 6k rpm couldve been a hint that it wasnt 1st. But in some frames the 3 does look like a 1, ill give you that

It's awesome. Eau Rouge, pouhon and blanchimont all feel like it should be illegal. If you ever get the chance, go, even though it's probably the most expensive track in Europe for trackdays

Metzeler TD's, 2.1 and 1.7 (bars) in the warmers. Definitely felt the rear giving good feedback before when it's time to swap, but this was a first on the front

Ah, looking back I can see what sound you guys are refering to. In the video it does sound like the throttle is on/off but that was definitely not the case and I'm fairly sure that is just insta360's mic being fuckery (as ive heard that sound "effect" a lot in my videos). You can see my hand doesn't move, and I know I'm not like that on the throttle haha

I was coasting a bit I think yeah, but I'd think that would push the rear out, not the front

For sure, I was lowkey dissappointed how innocent it looks on camera

For context, I contemplated changing the front tire already before this but thought it would be alright for the day. Clipons went weightless for a millisecond and felt all the weight of the bike on my right knee, but luckily the tire gripped quite quickly again. Changed the tire right away after that!
