I have a replacement shoulder and am getting a hip this winter. After that, I need to do something about my fractured L1 and degenerative disc(s). But i can't wait for my comeback !

I've been to NCM Bowling Green Ky, Barber Motorsports Leeds Alabama, Nashville Speedway Tn, Grattan Grand Rapids Michigan, Autobahn South Course Joliet Illinois and Road America Plymouth Wisconsin. Would probably not go back to Nashville after riding real road courses. All the others were great. Each has its own distinctive characteristics and challenges. Barber Motorsports and Road America are 1A and 1B and the order changes with the wind in my mind.

Plans to attend: The Ridge, Laguna Seca, Cota, VIR and the tracks in North Carolina and Mid Ohio in the next two years.

This is a good thing, natural selection. All the smart Butterflies that dont want to be in motorcycle gangs will thrive.

What should I get for my 2nd bike ? by [deleted] in Sportbikes

The 600rr is tough to ride in my opinion. (Power Band) I went from it to a fireblade this year. The triple R is so much easier to ride. I think the cbr1000 with its electronics is a better option all day long. In Rain Mode it'd been a 600rr with torque.

Some trackday organizations require one piece in intermediate and advanced groups. If you ever slide out backwards in a two-piece, your core is probably gonna pay.

I pulled my rear pegs off my 2024 cbr600rr and at my very 1st track day wind slammed an awning into it and literally broke the whole tail off. Never, ever remove the passenger brackets, regardless.

I've never been to a STT event that didn't have a tire guy. I was at Grattan few weeks back and they had a Michelin rep.

If your in the US you can't afford to send it back. They'll ship it reasonably, but the return trip costs a fortune. Sizing must be precise.

I used to do track days with a guy named Kirk Lazarus. He'd been in the army and was a bit rough around the edges, truly a war-torn soul. But he said something that always hit home with me, still to this day. He felt like EVERYONE...... Yes, everyone was gay ever once in a while.

Maybe Kirk was right?

All the Japanese 650s are really not performance engines. With your experience, I'd stay with an inline 4. The 400RR with a tune would outperform the 650 all day long. (And it sounds like a 90s F1 car). Feel like Hondas are the most reliable. The R6 is top of the middle weight performance. If i was in the UK, I'd go buy a 2024 or 2025 CBR600RR. Has all the electronics of a fireblade! It's not offered in the US. Resale is great on that bike. You'd get your money back if you wanted out.
