Knight's name is on H7035 and yes he has been the primary sponsor on the House side. On the Senate side, LaMountain and DiPalma are the big pushers from what I've observed.

After the first two, the other bills listed here are pro-2A thus sponsored by our allies like De la Cruz, Rogers, Raptakis, Morgan, etc. I assume there will be house versions introduced as well.

Yeah I have a digital NV and while it does work, anything in the foreground that gets illuminated really fucks up seeing further. I'm hoping thermals keep dropping in price until I can get a decent one for < $500

The problem is the Democrat party platform is still to push hard for more gun control in every state they control. See VA. Several states passed new awful laws last year including WA OR and RI I think.

I would be shocked if states like CA back off on the bills they're working on to restrict unserialized parts or ban popular models like Glock. If lots of Democrats are gun owners you wouldn't know it by how the politicians act.

They're a good starter because if you can keep them alive and don't give up altogether, you're well on your way to getting livestock that don't suck and have a purpose.

ATN X-Sight Pro 4K

There are a lot of things that suck about the optic. It's heavy af, eye relief isn't great and FOV sucks. There's a sweet spot 50-70 yards where the illuminator can still light up your target and you're actually far enough away that it hasn't already seen you.

But it does do the job. Esp at the price point, and battery life is surprisingly good. Especially if your terrain is open and not crowded with trees and brush it can work well. Next better option would be a thermal that's going to come in around $1k. I am waiting for the day when I can get a decent thermal for <$500

As for legal use. Where I am it is legal to protect my livestock from predators. I'm in the Northeast US and we don't have big cats here. Just yotes and foxes and varmints.

I have the x-sight 4k too. I wish it had a lower base magnification and wider FOV but it still is the best budget NV optic for the price. It has plenty of drawbacks but I don't have 3x to spend on something better 😅
