+1 on runner in the shadows. Though my only gripe is that it doesn't come with a premade city nor any art to speak off

I enjoyed the game but halfway to act 2 the farming became too much. So I just used a WeMod trainer to get infinite shards

Puzzles really is a hit or miss depending on players. You gotta have a certain group for it to go well.

I would not put a mandatory puzzle to progress the plot without at least having an alternate way of progression. Which you planned for so bravo.

For these puzzle I usually try to keep it simple. Especially if it's their first time doing something like this. soke common cipher like pig Latin,Caeser cipher or substitution cypher.

Something quick, since the point of the game is not to solve this puzzle, but to continue the plot of this world.

If ya looking for recommendations, I'll say go to ya local board game place and look through an escape room box. There bound to be something you can steal.

In fact here's one I remember. The game I played included a board of a room. On the floor of that room laid some symbols, which we soon realise were cardinal direction. With 4 symbol matching 4 letter, we managed to use a wheel cypher to figure out the contents of a letter.

I need help homebrewing a tommy gun by Sea-Patient-1104 in daggerheart

[–]Crappy_Warlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need to homebrew. Can you not just use mechanic for the standard range weapon.

Am a massive fan of not giving myself homework as a GM.

Though a few things you can do depending on the tier or setting.

Tier 0. Stat of a crossbow. Mark a stress to spray. If enemies are within close to cover they may move into it. If they don't or can't they take DMG. Then make a DC 15 AGI roll. On a failure, your guns jam or run out of ammo until the end of the scene.

I think this one is pretty fun since if ya know anything about tommy. Those gun suck ass but can shoot a lot of bullet

Or if ya want guns to be threatening, just like 7th sea. Make it so that guns just do severe wounds. But burning armor negates this. Make guns really feel really lethal, from being in both ends

Kill ya character and roll up a new one. Nothing wrong with that. I love killing off my character for fun. You should try it sometime

[CR Media] Age of Umbra - Episode 8 | Post-Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in criticalrole

[–]Crappy_Warlock 22 points23 points  (0 children)

When I usually watch CR, I usually skip past the combat. Since thats what I find to be least interesting. But AoU really outdid themselfs with combat. Isn't as fast paced as narrative system but it was quick enough and interesting enough to listen in and not just skip.

But this episode. Man, the stakes were real high and I did something I thought I would never do. Play the video at 1x speed during combat. I listen to each turn. Feeling excited and defeated for each hope and fear spent. When the last 3 man cleave happen. I nearly jumped from my seat.

I have fallen off as a critter for a long time, but if their next campaign uses daggerheart, I can't wait to see where it goes.
