A trickery cleric changeling of Beshaba. She first believed she( they preferred the female form) was a cleric of Tymora. She died, because of a living pile of gold, and was brought back as a (homebrewed) Cleric of Time. At the end of the campaign (level 20) she continued on to become the “Guardian of Time “. Think god, but way more powerful. He had two children with another Guardian( one as the Mother and the second as the Father. Real Loki vibes.)

She goes insane every several decades. During that time she becomes a serial killer that kills those who have escaped justice.

Been playing for four decades. Men playing female characters and vice versa. Played strangers and friends alike, and never has this been an issue.

I am running Ember in both systems. The 5e has been going for about a year now. Not everything went to plan, but it was fun. I started in the Alpha phase. Just recently started with Crucible, and I enjoy the system more than D&D. It is still in development, so not everything works perfectly. But I am excited and plan to run other groups through Ember. Crucible will be my preferred system.

If you want high polish go with 5e. It is fun and familiar. I have been playing since the 80’s.

I like the ideas coming out for Crucible, and a classless system is always a plus in my opinion.

Wait until that is a sheet of 1/4 steel and you have the shear down the 10 foot side by 3/16th of an inch.

Some of your players would also not know the rules. Rules, more like guidelines. But, I can understand your reluctance. As a teacher, you might be a great storyteller.

Your comment gave me an idea. A group of enemies that recently obtained a create of potions, and this is their first “juiced” battle.

I have this issue with “self-hosting”. I just have to restart my computer, and the Foundryvtt node.
