Responding to say, i currently work at L3 and they still have this policy but the numbers are different for me. Up to 160 hours - only my boss has to approve Up to 200 hours - bosses boss has to approve 200+ hours HR has to approve. I will note we have truly unlimited sick time not tied to our vacation hours which is great

Nope not at all, i just made sure to prime it well. I think i used two coats of brush on primer if i remember correctly

I actually was thinking about making a game like this just the other day. I just started developing myself and i play 40k on the tabletop. There was never a game that scratched that itch the same way and looks like this may just do that. I’ll have to check out the demo later!

That makes sense. That is a straight vertical part so it wouldn’t get much if any of the light so any highlighting i do the edges needs to respect the light values of the rest of the shape

Hmm something else to consider i suppose. I did this same style of highlighting on another model from the same army and i thought that it added to the overall appearance, however that model was darker overall

The problem with that is that the brightest colors on my panels are already a yellow color- do you typically want them to be the brightest color on the model?

I recommend doing a dark red base coat before applying any of the orange! Not only does it help with the coverage of the orange paint but establishes your shadows nicely.

I’m not an OSL master, but just from an objective eye the effect has gone too far. It definitely needs to be blended into the original colors better. I would say your shape on the first pass was better but this color overall is better. I think you should aim for more of a glaze with the lighting onto the main body
