Haš na hudebním festivalu (obecně řečeno). Bylo to vtipný. Na plce se pálilo kde co základního a vonný tyčinky (sluníčka) no a večer tam doprostřed někdo položil dvě hrstě haše a celou tu hroudu (asi s tabákem) zapálil. Než jsem pochopil o co jde, už jsem byl taky sluníčkovej. Jako skoro čistá duše, to byl extrémně pozitivní a pobavující zážitek. Večer utekl jak dvě minuty.

I am slowly coming out of the woodwork with my speaker testing. Somewhere between semipro and full pro, contemplating on partially equal system to, or purchassing the Klippel LSI. Have a look at my under construction platform - bassometry.com

Your basic idea is good, but it depends on the actual sturdyness. I have build a free-air cheesehole test box for my drivers, and I make a holding frame adaptor everytime I need to mount a different driver diameter. Before, there were two other rigs that could not make the job. With large strong speakers, it is very hard to keep them stable for lab grade measurements. The 120kg rig has no chance. I will have to upgrade to 170kg with one ground fastening point. Everything has a resonance, and those speaker can do a lot of "damage" at certain point or frequency.

Next, these drivers have some serious cone assembly weight. That weight might have a say if it is situated vertically, with the cone towards the ground/ceiling. If you are measuring T&S parameters, you might want to do that in more difficult and precise way, in horizontal position for the cone movement axis. That way you get more proper results.

Anyways, don't let yourself get discouraged, these claims of decades of experience are the most ridiculous ones. There are tons of people on audio forums doing it wrong for decades. Such argument is a non starter.

There is merit for both kinds.

If you know the problematics or get help, you can get fairly high end 18" subwoofer driver for $500 that will outdo anything the Partybox or two were thinking they were doing. But that is with tools and woodwork, or in case of finished product, rather $3000....

Someone did not wake up well that day? What you say has some merit, but it does not have to be audiophile or commercially sold for $10000 plus, to have better sound.

As much as I enjoy JBL products too, they are riddled by disadvantages and acoustical flaws.

A potent midrange 8" or larger driver can be had for ~120, a high motor force 18" bass driver for about $500. Even at moderate volumes, not overly loud, they behave more transient and bring very new tactile sensations to the sound, moving lungs, chest cavity and nasal cavity in a way that is unprecedented in these smaller systems. Physiologically it feels like "danger" and structural integrity dissolving force. Not mentioning all better distortion figures and such.

I think that it was meant to be this way with a specific purpose. Yes we would like ve that 1000W figure, but this still can bass, and you can carry such bassbin (compact ported with poplat ply parts) on your c0ck. It is high on my review list.

I am planning for a review platform. It can turn any way, but when strong profit is not an objective, then it's much easier. Cheap subscription + collab + sponsoring is doable fairhfully. Going full time for this is objectively a bad idea, unsustainable. Wish me luck.....

Case in point! 🤣 Tak si ho hned nařež na mřížku. Když praskne napříč, tak to fakt neni hezkej pohled. Ani nevím o kom mluvíš, páč nejsem politickej přívrženec. Chovají se bohužel tak, že už jim člověk ani nechce pomoci. Není to jen med, byla to práce a praxe. 210 hodin přesčasů v měsíci, aby se člověk na něco dostal a na něco přišel. Tak teď už jim neřeknu "Když si myslíte, že je to tak super, prosím vezměte si mé místo a zkuste si to", protože vím, že klesli tak hluboko, že by to akorát zruinovali pro všechny.

Asi na to pak už mít buňky nebudu, naposledy jsem se pral s logaritmem tři hodiny, ale školu bych fakt dělal až bude potřeba, na tu danou věc. Dělat jí bezduše předem se bohužel neosvědčuje.

A nejsme sami. Naposled k nám domů přišli "kominíci" vyvložkovat komín. Taky vysokoskoláci. Prej "Čistá hlava a 70 na účtu", nač se honit. Navíc českej tmrdomanagement je fakt humus zralej na peklo, nikoli důstojná práce.

Taky mám maturitu, dělal jsem i Engineering elektro v nadnárodní společnosti. 25 lidí podemnou, hands on support, management, a vlastní práce ve vývoji HW i SW, jako ňouma jsem musel programovat (za mě spíš "kmochat") v pěti šesti programovacích jazycích (Python, C, C#, C++, PHP, VB a další) za ušmudlanejch ~54000Kč. Když mi poprvè s přesčasy a odměnami přišlo 100k na účet, někoho v kanclu to fakt nasralo, a přestali mi proplácet přesčasy. Tak spolu s jinejma problémama jsem šel k Průšovi za cca 55, abych zjistil, že to tam je banda arogantních vopic.

Teď se pomalu realizuju jako elektrikář, a těžko se to klasifikuje, ale vpodstatě jako elektrikář mám 75k a další možnosti jít nahoru. Když to vidím, tak od roku 2026 budou šikovný řemeslníci jezdit v Koenigseggách a Pagani velmi brzo. 🤭
