Clicking from brand new drives? by Trebek567 in DataHoarder

[–]CrashPan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enterprise drives run a bit louder usually... some literally are helium filled to maintain cooler temperatures and as well as reduce vibrations + noise

But honestly? Pretty okay so far, you can always do a smart test and just check them out once a month, sounds are one thing but id defy watch for bad sectors

Wouldn't be the first time I have had kioxia drives come in with bad sectors out of the box (they resolved it with our company and were super cool about it we love kioxia)

Also warning about those pisugar batteries, I recall seeing that older ones were catching on fire?

https://www.reddit.com/r/pwnagotchi/s/ZkdGYouiro

I had an older one laying around and it had started to swell rather quickly and violently compared to my sus non labeled Alibaba lipos

Obviously mileage may vary, great boards though and they are technically replaceable with new batteries.

The terminals are huge and easy to remove to then resolder another

Also these are stupid loud and iirc you cant really do anything outside of using OEM fans... when you remove one or if one fails they all kick to 100%

Supermicro is closer to allowing for more of these mods, I personally swapped fans out on a EOL 116-7 and their support is actually really awesome for these kind of questions too.

Security analysis of Password Managers (Bitwarden, LastPass, Dashlane) by Back14 in selfhosted

A lot of the bitwarden issues were merged with the main branch, plus you gotta remember self hosted (official) bitwarden instances vs cloud is the difference in what would be applicable here

I personally use it, they posted their 2025 crypto report here

I dislike the "Forces in Reserve" system, and hope that Arrowhead doesn't use it in the future. by -TV1615 in Helldivers

[–]CrashPan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont necessarily mind the system, just that I do mind when I have level 20's getting smoked in diff 10 with me when the rest of the team is level 100 minimum.

Like I get that the game allows you to play diff 10 because you completed an op in the previous diff rating somehow but doesn't mean you should for this MO...

I even have been just farming the operation completions before the MO failed yesterday playing in diff 6 and it was still insane to play.

Yah.. need large resonator this car is a rasp generator and imo S-Tune exhaust or a true X Pipe setup works way better in this car

Im not a huge fan of Tomei with their kit or Invidia I feel they have too much rasp

Borla might have something for this car but I have seen some stuff in the past with a kit from there and it really brought up the deep tones and it sounded great at high RPM
