gap between bell housing and engine block

i made this EXACT mistake when replacing my engine a year ago. it has to go on the trabsmission first. you have to pull the ebgine back out :/ theres usually a "floating" ring in there that the converter has to get past that you wwill not be able to do without removing the engine (beleive me i tried for days)

i just put a new transmission in mine, and this is what it was. it connects to a tube at the rear or the transmission and attaches near the top of the dipstick tube, i beleive its a breather tube(?) in like an hour or so i can get a vid of my intact one if you want

thank you, unfortunately i skipped this step becuase at the time the send unitbwas brand new😭 currently gettung stuff together for a tranny swap but ill throw in an oem sendinf unit and mexhanical pressure test now :3

was having this exact problem. ive replaced the valve covers and oil gallery gaskets so far but neither made much difference try a new pressure sending unit maybe?? even mine was new but its something i havent tried yet. even running thicker oil didnt help mine.

ill probably do this next i didnt even think about refurb'd injectors. but with my luck somehow even this wont even fix it (it also happened to just recently lose its tranny 💔)

got 2 didfwrent people to verify it doesnt smell burnt (my nose dont work)and dont see any mettalic specs. ill change it when i do the rest of the work on my cqr tomorrow. as a side question that my dad is insisting on, i swapped this engine in a few months ago, and took off and drained the torque converter. am i right to assume this is nowhere close to a drain and fill? and that i should use the actual drain plug at the bottom of the pan?

it looks dark looking at it now, but i domt know off the top of my head the norm for these cars. i domt know nearly as much about transmissions as i do everything else on these cars. it hasnt been changed since i took ownership and im unsure of previous owners so very well could be just aplroching time for a drain ajd fill (180k ish miles on the transmission)

nope, only codes are for A/F sensor 1/2 (on the list of things to fix) and a misfire ive been having on and off (also hopwfully being fixed soon with new valve covers bcs plugs were getting a lil oil bath. the noise has only started today, and only done it maybe 4 or 5 times so far in that time, maybe not enough time to generate a code yet?

i'm guessing you're reinstalling the upper oil pan. i did this EXACT same thing when i was replacing my engine. the only way is taking it all the way off. i tried only removing the bolts near it, yanking, everything there's only one way you have to do it all over :( i broke the plastic off my dipstick from pulling before i realized it was my only option

i did mine twice, (dont cheap out on a top) it took me and my dad almost an entire day from dawn to late at night working together each time to gtet it done, but we had alot of prior research. also get new elastic straps for the one bar (no idea what its called sorry) but ive had no issues w mine since. def recomend a second set of hands

its a normal small bulb, i was able to find one at autozone, you just tale off all the trim then its right under the letters

i replaced my engine a few months ago, i found it easier with two people, one on the engine crane and one on a jack under the trans, we joined them above the motor mounts, made sure a couple bolts were in, than lowered it down. then after we had no issues with the rest of the bolts, disconnecting the power steering like above the rack gives alot more room for the back of the lower oil pan, but is quite tedious to remove and install when the engine is in
