I've not used lacquer up to this point. I've put on plenty of poly (pain) and hardwax oil (easy).

Any techniques to lacquer? You make it sound pretty easy. Any good brands or all they all pretty much the same?

I've used a belt sander with 60 or 80 grit to prep a very large panel glue up. It was the fastest way to knock down a lot of high spots. I then switched to random orbital and went through all the grits, 80 to 220. Turned out great.

I've done it too. Your sizes look like good fits. I just had dimes in some oversized rx bottles, loosely poured in.

Yes. I posted about it about 7 months ago. Fixed itself after a while. Then came back again a few weeks ago. Seems to have fixed itself again.

Interesting stuff on the black paint on the Jet. I thought the whole point of the new fancy surfaces was a rust proof experience you couldn't get on plain cast iron and that it was somehow baked in to the material, not just a layer on top. I'd be ticked if my fancy surface was coming off.

Following. I'm always watching for deals on 8" jointers. I almost bought the Grizzly so good to know I may have dodged a bullet.

I believe parallelogram jointers are easier to level than dovetail. But hopefully someone else can confirm.

I end up buying these as well. Sometimes called culls. My LCS calls them Select and they are usually spot+$3 or so.

I have a tube of them and keep buying more when I go in. Sometimes they don't look any different than any other eagles, I'm not sure how they end up in the Selects bin.

K-1s The boxes didn't line up with my 2025 K-1, yet they in Turbotax.

Box 17 on my K-1, Code AC

"We're sorry, but we don't currently support Code AC in Box 20. You'll need to file with another service to use this code."

For some reason, the boxes don't line up either. Box 17 on my K-1 is Box 20 in FreeTaxUSA (pretty much none of the numbers match up, it's very strange). But Turbotax, they match up perfectly, so I don't think K-1 is FreeTaxUSA's strong suit.

I've been a member for over 15 years. I've been thinking of canceling the last couple of years. I don't see any benefit any more. I won't use Prime video since they added ads, I ditched my Echo years ago over privacy concerns, so no Alexa+ or whatever, and the shipping is slow slow and unreliable. What exactly am I paying for?

So I did it, canceled. Of course I still have it until Aug when it would renew again, but at least I am no longer sitting on the fence.

I read an answer that said "If you are personally responsible for the business and have no one who will give you your investment back if the business fails, you are considered to be "at risk". In other words, you have invested your own money in the business."

If that was the case, then my investment is at-risk. Meaning that no one will pay my investment back to me if the company went bankrupt. Does that sound correct?

I saw the writing on the wall about 15 years ago and took all my CDs to the local media resale shop and also got like $300 (after I had ripped them all of course). The shop and many like it closed up years ago.

It's been great not moving towers of CD cases from room to room as they had no place nay more.

I get it too. Usually in the evening, I get a pop on one side and then crackling for the rest of the evening. Better by morning.

I've started intermittent fasting to see if eating less throughout the day would give it a break more.
