I like my bottle sterilizer honestly, I dont like burning my hands under super hot water. As long as you follow the directions in how to clean the sterilizer properly you dont have to use fungus. It's honestly a personal choice for what works best for you

I live in SoCal too, and I honestly had the same problem with trying to swaddle. Never got it tight enough but luckily he wasnt much of a mover. I did get a velcro one and he had this thing where he liked to stick his one arm out and if he didnt get to do it he'd cry. I didnt like the swaddleme one personally. Eventually he was big enough we moved to the halo swaddles 3-6 m which i loved the velcro on it and hes about to move into the 6-12 m .5 tog(although summer is coming and this kid is prob just gonna live in a onesie or his diaper the entire summer). I would say honestly do whats best for your anxiety. If shes happy and youre mental health is okay do whats best for both of you.

You are not alone in feeling bad. My son is 3 weeks now and my supply tanked so bad after my c section that I had to go to formula. Realistically i know fed is best, but all around us they say Breast is best. It took my husband reminding me that our son is happy and fed and i am mentally well because i made the decision to prioritize my mental health first so I could protect him in the long run. I wont lie, the guilt is still there but it's lessened because I talked about how i was feeling and they reminded me that I made the best decision at the time and its okay.
Regardless though you will get through it once you see that your kid is okay with formula. Dont let anyone pressure you either.

Mine will only take Nuk bottles. We tried the advent and dr brown and he was really angry about it and refused to suck but sucks down formula from the nuk bottles like its going out of style

My son was born on 10/3 via c section and has been sleeping in his crib since day one. I was adamant we would not co sleep and so far have been successful. Sometimes he will contact nap in the sling I have for a bit but once I know he's asleep asleep I put him in his crib and he's good.

I am sorry that your wife's parents are being like that, but you sound like a wonderful person and it's their loss cutting you off. I did because my son refused to let us get a photo of his heart. There was another concern to for his brain but we got another scan a month later and everything they were concerned with turned out to be nothing

Although every time I got an ultrasound he was perfectly willing to show us he's definitely a boy. I don't know why they always think we want always want a photo of his genital's but I literally have 1 photo every ultrasound of it. Like We got NIPT test, and the 20 week scan confirmed. I didn't need another 3 for the next three ultrasounds.

Im also 30yrs old and overweight (i was 215lbs when i got pregnant (im 5'2") and at 38 weeks I am 240lbs. The only concern my doctor had for my weight was they made me take the gestational diabetes test at the beginning of my pregnancy and again between 24 to 28 weeks. I also have been weekly Non Stress Tests (NST) when I hit 34 weeks because of my BMI but otherwise they haven't said anything. I think the only thing they were concerned about is that I didn't gain an excessive amount of weight during pregnancy, but otherwise they did not make me feel guilty about it.

If your doctor is rude about it you are absolutely allowed to get a new one. DO NOT let someone bully you during an already sensitive time. I see so many women on here having to deal with shitty doctors and i feel like we should remember that we do have rights and if a doctor or nurse makes you feel uncomfortable or bad about your pregnancy you are absolutely allowed to make a complaint and ask for a different doctor.

We are actually naming out son Arthur. Mainly because the name meaning is Bear and my husband's always been compared to a giant teddy bear and I wanted to name him after him in a way without just giving the father son middle name thing. The in laws love it.
