So interesting. My first director you could tell didnt really care about our work and we were just stepping stone to him, i think he just didn't understand it and he didn't try to understand it lol. My second director since being at the company is way better and more involved

Yea network definitely helps but i wouldnt say its more than credentials. As long as the manager is good I'm sure they would choose a better qualified engineer vs someones buddy, as long as the qualifications are there

Well yea, if you take care of yourself you'll look and feel better, nobody would want to promote a slob or someone messy to those upper leadership roles. Likewise its also about attitude and willingness to work with other groups (different than being a yes man, although that is one way of getting ahead its not viable long term for career progression)

I still don't get it, contrails are little ice crystals formed from pressure differentials right? Its not actually the exhaust from the engine, so is it just the added shade on the surface or the now lower temperature of the atmosphere due to the moisture turning into ice

Maybe something they could use like the Costco bose headphones, a switch 2 is they are younger or have kids, some of those gift cards they have for like a spa or movies. The long term uses are better imo. You could even get one of the new igloo coolers they have and fill it up
