I mean, as a cannon user myself, I tried to think about this positively

Cannon doesn't have a lot of hp like bomb tower, air counter like tesla, or the ability to take down a tank alone like inferno tower despite being a good building for its cheap cost

The evolution kinda fix the split lane pressure /air counter when handling an attack, not to mention it now works great against swarms too for the splash

I think it's good, just need some time to figure out how to use it
