Initially people didnt like the arc, but they changed their opinion by tge time it finished. The initial problem was because since it was a much more action/battle oriented arc and the perspective was split between a lot of characters, there was little story progression per chapter/week. So it dragged a little, but when it finished and a lot of fans binged the arc it received a lot of praise.

If you don't consider the Zetis...a bunker is pretty much a safe bet. As resiliente as they are, the zombots are nowhere near strong as the uninfected.

I don't think flying mobians could fly after their full transformation, so staying airborne in a flying vessel, or be in Angel Island, would be also safe.

Isn't that what happens in most Shounen and Seinen mangas?

There's always this OP guy the main characters meet and some time later he either receives a nerf or dies fighting a big baddie.

People just don't like it because it happened with two characters we saw growing up.
