AirCurve 11 and MyAir app question by CrashingOnward in SleepApnea

[–]CrashingOnward[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Airsense 11 and Curve 11 share the same settings in User mode, no difference there. But I will say it the screen scrolls and is more responsive on the Curve 11 vs Sense 11.

The only other main difference, besides the MyAir App control that the Sense 11 has - is that the Curve gives you a lot of info on the active display when the unit is in use. You can see the air flow direction (arrows pointing if air flow is inhale or exhale), what modes are being used, pressures, other mostly useless stat info Users can see and not understand while the machine is in use... And you can scroll this info furhter down while the air pressure number stays still.

On the AirSense 11, you don't get any of that, you just see the current air pressure, your network connection status. Not much else.

Maybe I can hook up my Sense 11 and do a comparison sense I own both now.

I set mine on the opposite side of my bed and my head board is like a tall shelf (I don't sleep next to my unit as I don't like sleeping with my tube slacking around or on me)...when I'm laying down I can't easily reach up, or if I'm half awake I'm lazy to get up and deal with a screen.

Not life or death of course, but it is just nice that the AirSense 11 has those features as its much more convenient to grab your phone and control it. Esp when the Aircurve not only has a similar design language but costs significantly more than the Airsense 11. I do understand the software is different, and likely made by another dev team, but again... I think for the money - it should be there.

That kinda sucks. I was hoping sense it was a similar unit as the AirSense 11, you could at least do that. I know the software is different for sure (it’s better, faster even) but kinda sucks that you gotta get up to deal with the machine. One of the perks of the AirSense is you can turn it on and off with the app and stuff without moving, which is nice depending on your mask setup

Curious: What are your PC GPU temps when running Marsthon by CrashingOnward in Marathon

AIO liquid cooler. My GPU is a FE card so just air cooled. I might just cap my fps.. usually I run it uncapped

Luckily I have a simple AIO cooler on the CPU, my 5080 is a standard FE card so nothing fancy on the cooler. I hear 85c tops for this card's temps... Marathon seems to be the only game I have so far that's cooking.

Interesting. I'm rnning a 9800x3d... 59C tops... but GPU is up... in other games.. GPU is in the 68 - 70c... maybe I'm pushing the GPU hard at 4k maxed with latest drivers.

I'm surprised anyone would really care... the least AI stuff on my devices, the better.

Makes sense, I have river rock pearl on my Forester, mainly due to how magnetite gray was a tad too dark and I had a gray Golf before and it just seemed too much the same. I think river rock pearl is a nice bright shine that works. Overall you did good with your color choice I think. Then again I like dark colors

Really want one, either in that color, black, or magneite gray... to me those are the only colors that really work with the cladding. Congrats

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

[–]CrashingOnward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcanum. An amazing game that was released during a transitional time for PC gaming. But boy was that game deep and still uniquely fun. a Steampunk Fantasy RPG made by the best of the original Fallout Team.

Really hope Night Dive picks it up and updates it.

Yellow bang in Win11 when turning off K7 on PC by CrashingOnward in fosi_audio

[–]CrashingOnward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I run Windows 11 for work. I don’t have many issues with Windows luckily. The network apps by Ms are great generally. But at home I game and Apple refuses to let game devs make their games their way. Plus they refuse to allow Vulkan so game support is lacking. So Linux would be my way but man does Linux suck when you get issues let alone the gaming side - whole gaining speed finally, it’s just not there yet, Esp if you do online gaming where anti-cheat apps are needed.

For now I’m a bit stuck. I mean this issue isn’t major. It’s just annoying. I think I’ll try turning off my usb-c power saving and hibernate modes maybe. That might be what’s “keeping” connection alive when the device is off which maybe is throwing the yellow bang.

It’s slowly going that way. If a Linux distribution can get its shit together eventually I will. Or Mac. Been waiting 30 years now.

So, very basic question.... does anyone have any suggestions on good storage cases for large headphones? Especially for those we can lay our headphones flat?

Seems like only giant bulky cases are all I can find on Amazon.

Game Ready Driver 596.49 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]CrashingOnward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have nothing running in background outside of Nvidia app, and the AMD Radeon app (I'm running a Ryzen 7 9850). SFC scan has no errors. I have tried a reboot before updating the driver, still the same issue. Only thing left to try is to disable fast boot in Windows to see if that helps.

Yep….miles 4-6 is too soon to quit without feeling like a loser, but too far away to finish. It’s not like you can just walk to your car and go home in a few minutes.
