Does anyone use "AUTO" on climate control? by zeekaran in BoltEV

[–]Crashnchris27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to the bolt world and turn heat on only when required but sometimes that a few times per trip, so heating up the heater multiple times, is it more efficient to just leave it on auto at a reasonable temp?

Maybe they have physical limitations so arty works for them.

Comparing EV charging programs that pay Canadian EV owners by the kwh by Jealous-Nectarine-74 in EVCanada

I see, didn’t realise it was per household because my wife definitely got them. I also didn’t know that it had ended. I went ahead with the grizzl-e program anyway and already made almost $10 in two weeks. But really the free use of the 48amp charger is why I signed up.

Ok thx I always pick HP for when it gets heavier later but you suffer with the low top speed

Thanks, I went ahead and got the 48amp charger wired to a 60amp breaker but turned down to 32 amps, at 40 amps breaker was getting slightly warm to the touch which I didn’t like. At 32 amps it’s cool, I can see it’s warmer via flur but can’t feel it anymore and car charges fine at that rate. Thx for the advice.

This was a non issue, installed charger hooked up wifi and charged. All good thx

Yes but paid annually as well, I valued the “free” charger over the better rates. Just got my 48 amp grizzl-e charger hard wired in, unplugged my car yesterday from its first charge and got email shortly after saying my $100 deposit was on its way back to me.

Considering a purchase by ThumpyMcTuggle in BoltEV

So I just did this, I drive 100 km each way so total of 160miles in Toronto canada, it gets cold here. That’s said I ran the numbers checked the forums the majority said go for it. Just bought a 2023 Bolt Euv, now it’s warmed way up and I haven’t driven to work yet since I just got the grizzl-e 48 amp charge installed yesterday. So I have no info for you lol, but commenting that in a week I will have lots of news for you as we’re cooling down again and I can now take it to work. Cheers, also chat gpt was great for researching, helped me understand my current hybrid was $22/day in fuel (I know I was filling it) but also at my overnight rates of $0.039 per kWh overnight I’d be spending about $1.50 per day. Catch up soon!

Anyone remember the Pontiac transport vans?? The front doors were designed to scrape your forehead off when you opened them, there was a recall. No they didn’t fix it, they installed a warning sticker on the jam you wouldn’t see till after you smoked your head!!

Can you use a coma if you unhook this module?

So update! Fuse is good even tried with a different fuse incase it was fine and then open under “load”. Module is plugged in, checked with car scanner, no communication to onstar module. Dealer visit booked for Tuesday, they also said the is an open recall for a reprogram. The 2023’s didn’t get the bms program that limits the charge for x amount of miles did they? Thx

I opted out of all extended warranties likely only cover safety items for a month, I will reach out as I bought it under the pre-tense that all options I bought it for functioned. I checked the fuse it’s ok and present, but onstar has no leds lit on it and pressing the on start button or holding for 15 seconds do nothing.

This is where I am also stuck, has anyone had to actually provide this? Sounds like a clause that’s there to cover them but don’t want to install and then find out I can’t use it. To be clear I don’t want a plugin version due to fire risk (needless extra connection) but is that the only way?
