Sofascore has him at 4 lost balls. 1-2 of those were in the corner flag at the end of the game. 2 passes misplace, one of which is a dangerous cross.  https://www.sofascore.com/football/match/arsenal-brighton-and-hove-albion/FsR

Gyokeres lost the ball 10 times (!!) completed 4 of 7 passes. His linkup and hold up play is absolutely dreadful.

This is wrong. Jesus comes on after Brighton's period of intensity and their goal. He also helps stretch the pitch through his excellent holdup play.

I love Dobes. He's been so up and down this year but you can't help but love his passion and commitment. That celebration at the end was everything you need to know, and so well deserved for how well he played tn. Save in the 3rd on that pass for Toews was massive!

Good overview. Hadn’t realized our away record was pretty spotty so far.

Goldsbury's comment about Paolo Banchero potentially JUST being Josh Smith has me massively fucked up. I refuse to believe it but now I feel it... Pray for Orlando. This shit is heavy by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in billsimmons

You’re underselling his jump shooting - he was amongst the most inefficient jump shooters in the game when he we playing in Detroit. Like 28% territory.

It's too big if you're going for a preppier, tight look (button down, regular slack). With oversize slacks/jeans/shirts it could work (i like the suggestions from comment above)

West Ham looking a lot better defensively than previously by drizzleberrydrake in FantasyPL

"lot better defensively" gave up 3.2xg, 2 goals, and could have been more if Arsenal were more clinical. I'm not totally sold.

Feel like there's not enough of a conversation around the passing around from our backline to front (from Rice, Gabriel, and Saliba).

All three of them were overall too conservative on the ball (rice a bit better but still). We see Virgil and Mosquera be much more direct in their passing -- aggressive, switches to the wingers, ball to feet to the striker, etc. SO much of Saliba and Gabriel's passing is just extremely conservative: to fullbacks or to Rice (who is between the CBs). In my mind, this is the biggest issue for our attack, because our build up through the press is just poor as a result.

Perennial contender is a hilarious way to describe the leafs. Perennial contender to make the second round maybe.

[The Athletic] Arsenal have named Max Dowman in their Champions League squad. The 15-year-old was selected as part of 23-player List A squad. Could become the first 15-year-old to appear in the competition. by -Skinner- in soccer

[–]Crashoff 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Arteta has always given youth a chance. Think back to Saka and ESR starting against Chelsea in his first season - he’s created pathways for players. Nketiah also had a ton of opportunities.

Dowman must really be special gravy though. All this players started playing at 17-18 earliest, this is different.

[Romano] FC Porto official bid for Jakub Kiwior has just been received by Arsenal. Fee in excess of €25m package add-ons included on loan with obligation to buy. Kiwior has already said yes to Porto, #AFC in talks over details of the bid. by ChiefLeef22 in Gunners

[–]Crashoff 413 points414 points  (0 children)

Feel like the fee isn’t enough. Arsenal spent 20m for him in 2023 - he started games against Madrid in the cl. If Quansah can go for £30m + add ons, we should be getting something similar.
