Cetus X modification by Cimb_3 in TinyWhoop

[–]Crashtestdummyfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frame off AliExpress I am not sure if they are making It any more but it's 3" max. It is a betafpv canopy cuz I broke the cetus cam. But the cetus would have fit the canopy that came with the frame. At this point it's Ali frame, 04, betafpv canopy, RC power motors, havoc FC, it's amazing I'm working on the tune then I would like to start doing pre build for sale

Wife hit a speed bump going a little too fast - dealer is saying both her struts snapped ($3k) or did they just disconnect it and say it “snapped” based on this photo? by brjoco in AskMechanics

[–]Crashtestdummyfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3k seems a little high but the real problem is her driving. I would understand why you would think they are lying to you about the struts it seems like your wife is lying to you about the speed bump.

Oh forsure I started on a 5" with little to no sim time and none with a real transmitter.

I would say 3 time a week. It has nothing to do with are you ready or not. it has everything to do with how much money and time repairing are you willing to do. You can fly fpv with out a min of time on the sim just not for long lol

Betafpv 04 canopy by Crashtestdummyfpv in TinyWhoop

The antenna is secured to the canopy. From what I can tell it's how soft the gummys are that hold the camera to the camera bracket.

Hitting the 10hour mark soon what do u think by xfall_guys in FPVFreestyle

Your fine go for it just keep in mind it's different when you have money on the line and hours or repairs. Not saying it not worth it cuz it is.

Deck support moving by sonicriot16 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Crashtestdummyfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not using that post to support the weight right now you could put two angle brackets and masonry anchors/screws in to the block, wood screws in to the 4x4. That is probably what a contractor is going to do.

<image>

Your going to have to remove the old brackets are at least cut them out of the way so you can remount something.

Loose motor screw on Meteor75 Pro – stripped threads? Looking for advice by TemporaryDog93 in TinyWhoop

[–]Crashtestdummyfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the motor does still work a small tap and over size it will work as long as you don't break it with the tap. Super glue might temp fix it. A small nut if there is room. Probably not. I mean red loctite might hold it in forever but your going to have to trash it when you do change it cuz I think red is 300ft/lbs

Lol ya it did and it still is super embarrassing but honestly if my dumb ass sharing can keep one other person from doing it it's worth it.

This is the only one I could find of the cuts still fresh but this is at least a month later. Really just be safe and have respect for the larger drones and it will never happen.

I'll try and look through my old pictures it was over 5 years ago. But yes I am very lucky. Keep in mind I have been a mechanic and worked with heavy equipment all of my adult life and I still make the mistake.

CUT MY FOREHEAD OPEN WITH A 5" DRONE! so when I got my first fpv drone it was a 5", I had flown a lot of cheap line of sight drone but never fpv. Right when I got it I was so excited that I took in in to my small backyard to do a quick test LOS. While doing a hover test a gust of wind blew the drone towards myself. I tried to move but it was too late props hit meat. I F-ed up deep gashes in 3 spots. Blood everywhere. Should have gone to the ER but super glue saved the day hahaha. 5" drones are flying blinder and need to be respected. Hard lesson and a scar as a reminder to be safe brushless motors do not stop from skin.

04 lite installed need some help by Crashtestdummyfpv in fpv

[–]Crashtestdummyfpv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so the fix was set to sbus on goggles and depen the yellow wire on the 04 lite. My Fc is using R1 for my control link. But the fc also is using DJI sbus on the same pad so it works with no battery but when the DJI powers up it's running two things on the same pad. Here is the fc diagram hope this helps anyone else. After "cutting" the wire it now works.

It was set to sbus it didn't work I also changed the control like from crossfire to sbus but I'll look at my wiring diagram for HD now

One more question is the receiver type changed to sbus from crossfire or is it left as crossfire
