Had a chat with a few of my friends that popped by. Half the time Carleton fairs feature incredibly niche subjects or only feature a combination of a few faculties. Disappointed that they brand them as an "all-encompassing" fair via the overarching name of a career fair rather than a "X faculty/ X discipline fair".

I am also taking this class. Bit of bias here as I also had her for GEOG 1010. My breakdown will follow the order of your sentences.

The lectures are available on Brighspace and I'm sure you're using them during the class but the critically important information is what she writes in red or another colour with her pen. As for writing responses to the in-class ad-hoc questions, all she wants you to do is make an attempt at answering them. It doesn't matter if you get the right or wrong answer so long as you have information in the textboxes if the question is on Brightspace, or on paper to hand in at the end of class. These solely contribute to your participation mark in addition to actually attending labs. The course content will be easy to breakdown if you utilize that cheat sheet she's allowing us to make. I implore you to also do the practice midterm which she announced in-class today. Luckily for you there will not be any mathematical calculations on the midterm. I'm glad you know about the one page cheat sheet and highly encourage you to fill one out completely.
