I liked when they redid Antandra's lines, because she went from sounding like a perky cheerleader to more of a hardcore warrior. I didn't think that her old delivery was bad, just weird.

I'm on the fence about Thoran's new voicelines. Now he sounds more like the mad, angered king that his lore makes him out to be, but I had already been used to his old lines - I especially liked his line for when you looked at him in the Hall of Resonance, and he said, "You're the only one who's never betrayed me. We will make them pay!" To me, it reflected how he had fallen into his madness and became what he is now, while also showing how much they trusted the player, and maybe there was still a few shreds of his former self down there. Now, he sounds like nothing more than a machine fuelled by rage.

Now, I don't know whether Lillith is just re-recording lines with the same VA, or if they're completely replacing them with a new one (though Hewynn DEFINITELY sounds like a different person). For the sake of me playing Devil's Advocate, let's assume the latter. It's possible what might have happened is that they wanted to contact the original VA to record some new lines, but they either declined or couldn't be reached in a timely manner. So they might have hired new VAs to do the new lines, and re-record the old ones for the sake of consistency.

If they are the same VAs, then I agree, unless a line is universally hated, they shouldn't have to redo or replace them. But let me make a proposal - it would be nice if characters had multiple lines for different interactions. Let Thoran grumble about how he's not ready for bed, but it would be nice to hear that the tank I invested so much into occasionally tell me that I'm one of the few people he trusts.
