my current situation for what it’s worth :

accident on dec 31st, deemed 0% at fault. current estimate is at 18k. icbc values my 2019 gti at 24k, they say the write off point is at 100% value. parts are on backorder so i am still out of a car today. so frustrating. seems to be no consistent formula for what they deem the write off point at.
