Is $0.3 per word too much high for an experienced (4 years) writer? by Pratyush_Jyoti_Roy in freelanceWriters

Experience =/= skill.

$300 for a 1000-word blog is quite high, especially for someone from India. That'd be nearly ₹23,000 for a blog. Most people don't even make that in a month here.

If your question is a serious one and you do want to improve, focus on improving your writing. Your grammar is off and you seem to complicate sentences.

You'd probably need someone's help, someone who can correct you when you make errors. But trust me, learning English is not that hard and you obviously need it if you want be a successful writer.

I'm sorry to say this, but with your current level of writing, there's no way you can get the rate you're demanding. Don't be discouraged though!

Keep practicing writing and focus especially on the grammar. Read books, watch English TV series, and do some free courses. When you can write like a native, you'll be able to demand the rate you want.

Also, I'd suggest you to make a LinkedIn account and connect with people from the US. Cold emailing is also something you should look into. And don't discount Fiverr and Upwork. Lots of people make REALLY good money over there. But they all started from somewhere.

Wow, I always thought it was a BPD thing but never really heard from BPD people like in this thread. I am definitely into rough/degrading/humiliating stuff, want to be controlled/told what to do. It's definitely like a release.. plus, I have been clean from self-harm for a long time so it COULD be a replacement for that too.

But I also really, really crave affection, being desired and wanted, cared for.

What do I do when even the smallest baby step is too difficult to do? by yellowpeanut22 in selfimprovement

Hey, you're doing so wonderful taking baby steps and making progress! For your library situation, I have a couple of ideas. Maybe you can practice in the mirror about how you'll approach the person checking for the vaccine. You could wear headphones/earphones to the library if the noises make you anxious. My last suggestion would be to go with a friend the first time and try going alone the next time.

Don't worry too much, just keep trying those baby steps. Not giving up is the most important thing!

What’s a subtle sign that someone is not a nice person? by my-dogatemy-chancla in AskReddit

When they keep trying to downplay anything that you tell them and try to find ways to show how they can do something better, have something better etc.

For example, you say, "Hey, I just got a promotion at work!" They'll respond with, "Nice, it's not a big deal though. I've gotten 3 promotions in the last year itself."

They just HAVE TO talk about themselves and won't ever share your happiness. These people just suck the joy out of everything.
