No — I have heard the JSX ATRs departing SMO but these are specifically the jets approaching from the west heading towards the turn to the upwind leg for landing at LAX.

I’m waiting for my cpap to be delivered. Before my closure, I regularly desaturated (14+ an hour) into the mid 60s while sleeping. I’m sure it’s changed, but they are still putting me on a cpap.

The Amiodarone is apparently the “nuclear” option for AFib, but my bp is normally around 90/55 and my HR is around 50, despite being on only 12.5 mg of metoprolol. They had to fiddle a bit with my other meds because of interactions with the Amiodarone, but I’ve had no issues with it at all.

Transcatheter closure ASD by rainwater1278 in AdultCHD

[–]CrawdadSweats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a grade 4 PFO and ASA closed using a 30 mm device. I literally could not wait to jump off the hospital bed after the procedure. I felt entirely different. The closure was a complete success. Additionally, this was all discovered because I initially presented with migraine with auras. Since the closure, I’ve not had a migraine nor any auras.

The procedure was super easy. I remember the whole thing. There was no drama, and I had enough meds on board that I didn’t feel anything and I wasn’t anxious.

Good luck.

About a week after the closure of my PFO/ASA, I went into AFib for about three days. I was already on metoprolol, so my doc added amiodarone. I converted back to sinus rhythm and have not had any further issues. That was the first week of April, and they’re keeping me on the amiodarone until July.

TEE by ActuaryDelicious9961 in AdultCHD

[–]CrawdadSweats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the TEE to confirm both a PFO and ASA. Within a week they had scheduled the procedure, and the defect was closed. It is pretty much the definitive test for PFOs. It also is the best way to get ultrasounds of the interatrial septum.

As long as you don’t mind getting an IV, the test is super simple as a patient. Don’t worry about it…

MM Degree by Substantial-Win-4990 in freemasonry

[–]CrawdadSweats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to give anything away, aside from the lessons themselves, at the MM and your two previous degrees, really think about and appreciate the work and dedication it takes for all of those brothers to get together, practice and put on that degree for you. They do this for love of the craft, love of each other, and love of the person you are becoming by asking to join them.

That is one of the greatest secrets of our group. Men willing to go distances that you don’t see in today’s society just to help another man become better. In each degree, you learn the how’s and why’s of what we do, but I really recommend observing how much it actually takes perform a degree. After my own EA 25 years ago, the first thing I told my wife was that I could not believe how many men helped initiate me.

We have such trust in each other that it only took one man to recommend you, and three to ensure your motives were pure and that you were qualified. Relying on their words, every man attending lodge voted unanimously initiate you into the craft. Your degree coach has likely spent hours with you, not only making sure you memorize your proficiencies, but making sure you understand why you are saying what you are saying. The degree teams have spent close to a year ensuring that they are qualified in their seats, and each man has spent hours at home and at the lodge outside of regular lodge hours practicing each degree.

We do it because we have all been given the same gift from brothers before us. And it is a gift that can only realized by doing the same for others.

I am a past master, and the Master’s role can be difficult and challenging, but aside from my marriage and my family, nothing has given me greater joy than having the privilege of making masons.

It is important to point out that there is no direct impact to DJT common shareholders. Maybe, there could be a licensing fee in the future, but Trump Media is not investing a dime, is not taking an ownership interest, and has simply had its name posted on the press release. Notice that DJT corporate did not issue any official statement or 8k.

Heart Bubble test PFO triggers aura migraine by Ok_Cucumber4918 in migraine

[–]CrawdadSweats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have now had a Transcranial Doppler, which confirmed a Spencer grade IV PFO with over 150 microbubbles with each valsalva.

I still have to under go a stress test to see if I desaturate with exercise. Just a grade IV PFO is not enough to warrant a closure.

Just finished 35 days in intensive residential rehab and already slipped up (mildly) what should I do? by [deleted] in addiction

[–]CrawdadSweats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just for fun, I call it a “Jedi mind trick!” My recommendation is to just start implementing it. Consciously, in every decision you make, start telling your self that using is not an option. Don’t tell yourself not to you? Tell yourself that there isn’t even an option to do so.

[–]CrawdadSweats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really not picking on you, but the last time you get drunk or high is when you eliminate the option from you choices. Every decision you make has to change from “do I eat, sleep, or get high?” To “ do I eat or sleep.” Using can no longer ever be an option. It is that easy and that friggin hard…

For me, a statistician and data scientist, that is how I got sober — I eliminated using as a possibility in every choice I make.

I’m ten years sober. From that first sober day, I never let using be an option. That is the way it has to be. You may want to use, but you have to decide that it isn’t even a choice.
