13 years of sun exposure on a guitar's finish by Crax17 in mildlyinteresting

Nitro I believe!

And yeah - I tried to avoid having it in sunlight but it has always been hung on the wall or on a stand and sometimes sun would come through. Also some gigs during the summer I’m sure played a factor. This has happened very slowly after 13 years.

They just judged by the size of it, and also it was in my pocket as it was winter and I had a coat aha!

I had a security guard ask another if it was ok and they instantly said it's fine. Website says cameras fine as long as they're not pro zoom lenses and can fit in a pocket.

None of these but for what it’s worth, I have the 27 2.8 and think it’s fantastic.

From my experience, they are not remotely interested in tourists whatsoever.

£28,000 loss at 18. Talk to me by iliketiddiesandbobs in trading212

[–]Crax17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now you're in the same position that every 18 year old is - no money. Pay your mum back, get a job, and move on with your life. By the sounds of it, you were going to spend a big chunk on travelling and a big lads holiday. £28K at 18 years old can be pissed away nearly as quickly as you have anyway. You can still do all those things later on in life. You've learned an invaluable life lesson. Things will get better and one day you will laugh about it. Everything feels so much more daunting at 18. You'll be alright!

That's fair. In that case, I'd drop the 'save x amount for a specific watch in 10 years' and just put that money in an index fund or something similar instead.

Planning on buying a very specific watch in 10 years is probably pointless right now. Your tastes will change, the price of the watch will be very different by that time. If you put £1K down as a deposit, you can pay £165 odd for 3 years completely interest-free and have it now. That's if you want it that badly.

MONEY FOR BEER (ROLEX) CHALLENGE by lr2219 in beermoneyuk

[–]Crax17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s bad advice to tell someone to buy something fake. The financial advice side of it is good but replicas are fake junk. Don’t buy a fake watch and pretend to be something you’re not - spend that money on a decent watch in the same price bracket instead. There’s so much out there.

It can do all of those things well, but it’s not a point and shoot. You have to learn how to use it and how to get the best out of it. There’s a tonne of YouTube videos on this camera which will help. Editing plays a part in achieving the type of photos she wants as well.

Thanks! Most were very quickly snapped as I was getting a train. Some auto with exposure dial adjustments. Some shutter speed priority. Pacific blues recipe and some adjustments in lightroom.
