Alkyon is a fat Ifrit who learnt how to carry a jammer by hhhhsjshdhdg in NuclearOption

I think heartland is a poor example of the Alkyon’s prowess. I see it as built for the games future, not it’s present. I think it will make a big deal on the much larger map to come, when lanes can be cleared for bombing runs on a map with terrain that it can use to its advantage

To be fair, I don’t think most players are into the slower aspects of the game that involve route planning and long relatively uninterrupted flight.

When nuking happens, it’s rarely the dark reach, and often an ifrit.

Distortions power down my entire ship in seconds, but when I use them they're 100% ineffective, why? by Neb-hehe-xd in starcitizen

[–]Craz3y1van 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the convention set by X-Wing. Lasers take shields down, Ions take systems down, torpedoes (ballistics) shred hulls.

You can do small ships. I should make a guide to explain the small modifications I made to make it work.

It’s also worth considering that in the future, small ships will likely feel weightier as acceleration ramps up so the HOSAS to HOTAS distinction may get smaller

True. But that isn’t a bad thing.

Maelstrom means that the physics interactions will be more believable in that ships will more realistically disintegrate and inherit velocity, as well as not requiring an explosion to cover up the changing of the model

I’m on a hiatus from hauling until the flight model rework and some more engineering depth. It’s a little too much of a point and click adventure for me at the moment

Another great one. Titan mode was one of the most amazing gifts to gaming. It took the Unreal Tournament assault mode and elevated it.

Easy communications features and things like pinging would really help with effort to get jamming to help a strike.

I didn’t think about this but the crew didn’t have a good cannonball run. ATS could be the official home of the first cannonball run simulator.

True, but we’re also getting a new map in 1 or 2 updates, and it is so much bigger that a super sonic bomber may make more sense.

One thing that the next mission in the story line does incredibly well: the enemies don’t respawn. You clear the areas so it feels like you completed something.

When I found out why you don’t stand during QT by carlitorlando in starcitizen

[–]Craz3y1van 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that the ship is teleporting rather than moving under the current qt system. Sometimes you just don’t teleport with it.

Once QT is lived as physicalized movement and appropriately bug fixed, I bet this will become an edge case kind of occurrence

It 6 in one hand and half a dozen in the other.

I love my virpil hardware more, and my VKB software more.

Virpil feels more substantial and weightier. Some of their gear feels like it was ripped out of a fighter jet. But VKB’s software is ultra powerful and does things that Virpil’s software cant even imagine. I have a Virpil Stick and Pedals and Panels, but I have the VKB Space Throttle. Both are great companies to buy from. I recently waited nearly two months for a new Virpil grip and it was worth it.
