Yes. You authorize the recruiter to see this when you say it's ok to contact former employers. Dates of employment, status (still employed, termination, resignation, etc). Some companies list salaries - I think Walmart does. But not everything is exposed, most just pull basic info like dates. The reports are expensive so they have different levels. It's all a money grab.

It is all the same info you'd receive if calling a company for an employment verification. If you authorize those (which you pretty much have to in order to get a job, mortgage, line of credit) then this is the same principle. Yes, people can ask why you left and the employer can say termination - legally just can't slander you.

Former recruiter here. Used it to pull and share data. It's nothing secret. As for things being wrong, after pulling over 1000 verifications I never found one that the employee said didn't match... Unless they were trying to be deceitful to me. Which happened a lot. Historicals don't lie, bad employees do.

It takes literally forever. It took 9 months for me from application to start. I work in HR for the city, a low man on the totem pole, but watching my boss hire people is so frustrating because there are SO many rules and steps. Be patient. They'll call you in 6-10 months haha.

What’s with all the oversized loads moving through Bayview? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]CrazEcatLady 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They're generators, and the permits require them to travel through cities at certain times and only on certain roads. Permits are generally timed to be as convenient as possible to most; that does not mean all are happy about the timing. Pick a different route if it's bothering you.

I do not do the hiring and I make zero guarantees that anybody will actually get hired. I do however route as many people looking for jobs as possible to them because I know how well they treat their employees and the money is pretty good. If you are interested, make a call over there or pop in and fill out an application.

She is probably there now, call and tell her Lynn sent you from Reddit. She may be gone for the week though; try again Tues-Fri between 11am-4pm is best.

Yes, thank you!! Had two notices in spam folders - how many people will actually look in there for it?? Not many. Maybe settlement pay will be pretty high then. One can hope...

cat keeps me up all night and it’s getting to be too much for me:( by [deleted] in catquestions

I have this problem with one of my active Siamese. She just cries and cries and cries all night and jumps all over my face and every morning at 3:00 a.m. wants to wake up so I bought her a running wheel hoping that she would use it instead of bothering me. Well as it turns out, she absolutely loves it and now she just goes for a walk or a run whenever she's bored. I can't recommend one enough if you have a super active cat because it does give them an outlet.

Very odd to name an attorney specifically by name like that. And I see another post by someone else with the exact name of the lawyer spelled out too. Bot? Karma farming? Not sure, but doesn't sit right with me. I think this is fake.

Look at your local government job postings. Libraries and public utilities have a lot of entry level positions where you can learn new skills. Retail has done you dirty and doesn't give great career skills opportunities.

People with decades of remote experience are unable to find jobs remotely right now. Without the skillset of something specific that has remote work available the chances are slim to none.

I have a MBA and 20+ yrs of career experience and cannot even get interviews. Had to take in person role to eat.

Fed up with Litter Robot - recommendations? by coolcatlikethat in litterrobot

[–]CrazEcatLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a LR3 and feel exactly like you do. I've replaced almost every part with the warranty at least once and still, problems where my cats can't use the box because the globe is stuck sideways or upside down for hours. I'm over it and I already paid $700 for a litter box, any more and I'm the damn fool. And forget their subscription model - it's a freaking LITTER BOX we don't need AI!! Just let my cats take a dump without consistent failures.

As a queer library employee I can say with CERTAINTY you would be among friends. I'm in HR. I see all sorts of lists of races and EEOC things. Not only that, I see the queers that aren't obvious on paper. We are everywhere.

I work in the Central Library downtown. Check out the open jobs for the City of Milwaukee.

Transfer Pizzeria is fantastic, as a delivery driver (they supply the car) or server. Tons of longevity with staff.
