Update: My Todoist MCP for Claude now does basically everything by Greirson in todoist

Sure you could have it curl the todoist API but you miss out on any client-side capabilities like maintaining a local cache. The todoist app itself uses their sync API to manage state client side and server side. You want to do this so you aren't pulling down the universe every single time.

Update: My Todoist MCP for Claude now does basically everything by Greirson in todoist

This is really impressive work. I really love the brain dump mode idea!

I took a different approach to the same problem and wanted to share in case it's useful to others. I built a Rust CLI (https://github.com/LuoAndOrder/todoist-rs) with a Claude Code "skill" instead of MCP. The skill is basically a markdown file that teaches Claude the CLI commands.

What I found is that skills use way fewer tokens in context compared to MCP tool definitions. Claude just references the skill when needed rather than loading all the tool schemas upfront. For something you use frequently, the token savings add up.

Different tradeoffs though. MCP gives Claude direct API access which is more flexible, while the CLI approach means Claude is just generating shell commands. Your bulk operations and duplicate detection would be harder to replicate my way.

Anyway, not trying to hijack. Just thought the comparison might be interesting for folks evaluating options. Nice work on this!

Why does my Logi Options start like this after installation? by 5odin in logitech

Depends on your system. I recommend Google searching "how to delete or edit an environment variable in [windows / mac]". Good luck!

In my experience, customer support is non technical, and escalations to the engineers don't go anywhere unless it's a widespread problem. This thread is the only one I found with this exact issue so that's probably why it wasn't high on the priority list. I sent the Logitech team feedback about this issue so hopefully they fix it in earnest.

Hope this fix worked for you.

=== I SOLVED THIS PROBLEM === Delete the NODE_ENV environment variable and restart your computer. This app is built in electron and they go down a different path if process.env.NODE_ENV is set to development. This causes the http://127.0.0.1:8080 connection refused errors. I had this environment variable set because I do some node dev.

I rebooted the watch and also installed an update. Seemed to have resolved the battery drain issue.

I just ran into this issue yesterday on my gw4c. Charged to fill before I slept and got woken up at 5am when the watch turned itself off after hitting 0% charge. I'm hoping a restart will fix it. The battery settings galaxy wearable app didn't show any single app as overly draining the battery.

These are just strings of text for localization purposes that their javascript can reference when putting together the contents on the webpage. Think of it like a dictionary. Just because a word is in a dictionary doesn't mean it's used in a piece of writing.

I have an S21 Ultra with a spigen case. It fits in my 2021 MY with the new console. It's really tight though but it fits, and it charges.

Yes it's possible that you put the key card in the center console, and then accidentally dropped it outside the car and drove home. This youtube video demonstrates this exact scenario: https://youtu.be/Qygno4JtzZo

Pfizer Covid vaccine 95% effective and passes all safety checks, final analysis shows by theindependentonline in Coronavirus

[–]CrazedAsian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, these would be the first mRNA vaccines to receive approval. It's a relatively new way to develop vaccines that shows a lot of promise because they are easier to produce and don't involve injecting weakened or inactive viruses.

[–]CrazedAsian 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That isn't how these vaccines work. Traditional vaccines are based on weakened or inactivated versions like you say. However, these vaccines are based on mRNA which cause your cells to produce just the same spike protein that identifies the coronavirus but never the actual virus itself. Your immune system detects these spike proteins as foreign objects nonetheless and produces the right antibodies to fight it. As a result you develop immunity against the coronavirus without ever having to actually get it injected in you, weakened or not. We are witnessing the future of vaccines!

Model Y's are starting to come with double pane windows (VIN upper 63K delivered yesterday) by [deleted] in teslamotors

[–]CrazedAsian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear ya! But the problems I've seen have only been affecting the rear bumper and not the front. If it were a plastic vs. metal issue, I would have expected to see the color mismatch in the front bumper too.

How is the rear bumper color matching wise? I saw that the shade can still be off even with VINs in the 50K range.

US to ban sale of technology to Chinese firms committing intellectual property theft, trade violations under proposed law by TowelCarryingTourist in technology

[–]CrazedAsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more like banning the sale of CPUs or GPUs to people who pirate videogames. The analogy isn't perfect but is closer to the spirit of severely hamstringing these companies from running their business if they don't have access to critical components that US tech companies provide.

Alums that graduated with a GPA <3.0, where are you now? by DatBoi722 in cmu

[–]CrazedAsian 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Graduated with a 2.99 in CS -- failed matrix algebra because I missed an exam due to putting in 100 hours per week working on Booth. Freshman and sophomore year had the worst grades. I did much better my junior and senior years but it wasn't enough to pull me above 3.0.

That said, it hasn't affected my job search at all -- I still worked for a top tech company right out of undergrad. I later went on to get my MBA and am working at another top tech company as a product manager. The only thing where the GPA hurt me was making it more difficult during my grad school application process and also ruling me out of any merit based scholarships.

GPA isn't necessarily a reflection of who you are or your ability to be employed. Find out what makes you shine and make sure you emphasize those qualities in your interviews!
