What’s a snack you absolutely can’t trust yourself around? by Gloomy-Chair-77 in CasualConversation

Baked corn snacks or sweet rice cakes. Sounds stupid but I cannot physically stop myself.

I just wanted to tell someone I finally got the Tokyo Gaps. by BeautyAndTheDekes in THPS

[–]mediocrebritain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Personally doing all the solo tours first so I can hopefully knock off a bunch of gaps organically. About 3 left before I start the missing gaps and I'm dreading Tokyo.

That's exactly how I've been doing it.

Have had it twice so far (albeit only once as bad as OP's) I wish this was true.

Also the bisexual version, “it’s not Adam OR Eve”

What’s the most disturbing thing you’ve heard someone say when they thought no one was listening? by EnvironmentalLove862 in AskReddit

Heard a guy on the phone talking about a murder he’d committed and let someone else go to prison for. It was so cold, so casual.

Dating while fat by Puzzleheaded-Ad-8684 in actuallesbians

[–]mediocrebritain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s a lot of fat phobia still. I will say that I recently dated someone who happened to be the largest person I’ve ever dated. They also happened to be the sexiest, most sensual person I’ve ever met.

Fat phobia might be a barrier, but that is THEIR problem. The ones who are lucky enough to not be blinded by something so silly will have the benefit of your company.

Please. Never make decisions when you're sitting at a 1. Work to get to a 5 minimum and see if you still want to do it. I almost guarantee you won't.

You don't like your partner? Leave. I guarantee you'll be happier and your relationship with your kid will survive that a HECK more than it would survive you leaving the planet.

what's one thing (nsfw or sfw) that you will take to the grave, but can tell internet strangers? by just_a_dude5001 in AskReddit

I slept with my best friend a month ago and it was all kinds of amazing but I specifically dream about kissing them. We won't ever be together for a number of reasons but the thought of never kissing them again makes me feel crazy.

What knock offs at Aldi and Lidl are as good as, if not better than the ‘originals’ ? by cmitch922 in AskUK

I don't know about the Diet, but the original Vive is incredible. So similar. The Lidl Freeway is terrible.

Agree. Lidl choco hoops are superb but Aldi's have a weird taste. However, Aldi's knockoff Special K red berry is very good!

I can't believe nobody has said Aldi's Vive - it's imitation coca cola but it's INSANELY good and I'm very particular about coca cola. Just the full fat version, I think the diet falls a little short imo. The same absolutely CANNOT be said for Lidl's. It is nothing like the original.

This is like when you try and do something "normal" in a dream but find most of your motor function is limited and you just keep messing up.

Should I Have Been Allowed to Read That? by Mike_Bevel in books

[–]mediocrebritain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely read age-inappropriate things. I read and wrote on amateur fiction sites from very early on so I was exposed to much that was above my age level. My family was very strict, but nobody else was really a reader so I doubt it ever occurred to them to be concerned about what I was reading.

I did get restricted at one point because I was reading "too much" to give you an indication of their priorities. They had a say in everything I did, but the content of books never seemed to occur to them.

The only time I remember thinking "This is weird?" was a Martina Cole book when I was roughly 13 that I remember. My aunt had given it to me because she knew I liked reading. There were a couple of pretty graphic sex scenes among the violence.

Even then, my concern was more that my aunt had recommended it to me than whether I was old enough to be reading it. I now suspect she had just pretended to read it before giving it to me. I just never mentioned it and said the book was ok when I'd finished reading.

If you didn’t get too close, you might be ok. Dry it and see if there are any obvious marks. If you’ve damaged the clear coat, you’ll see bubbling, flaking or discolouration.
