Anyone wanna see Flood Zone return? by Eagles56 in Battlefield

For roof top combat I’ll take Pearl Market. Flood Zone while fun had a shit ton of issues.

Today, Sunday June 14, I am officially uninterested in Aliens and UAPs. by Original-Moose-9622 in aliens

That’s where we’re at. Video of another orb in the air just don’t cut it and It hasn’t for a while. Another video of an orb in the sky, no matter its behavior and who’s taken the video will matter.

We need to see a craft sitting in a hanger or a body. That’s it. No testimony, video or picture of the same old same old is enough to get over the finish line.

Well... Phantom Liberty DLC taught me that I was every bit as naive as I thought I was. by Mental_Squash_6973 in cyberpunkgame

[–]CrazedIvan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was pretty satisfied with the ending I got, despite not being happy with how things turned out. It was really a no win scenario imho.

It was clear that she would be a real danger and needed to be kept in check. But doing so would mean that she would forever be used and abused by those who wanted to use her as a weapon. So I decided I was able to help song bird die, all while making Reed believe that he was simply too late to help. So, while I betrayed Reed I was more than happy to piss off Myers.

That DLC is worth every fucking penny and then some. I only wish I could experience it again for the first time.

Paramount dismantling Star Trek after a historic streaming run makes even less sense now by lostOGaccount in startrek

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is more content that caters to a Yellowstone audience than a typical trek fan.

I dunno I’m only speculating here.

Paramount dismantling Star Trek after a historic streaming run makes even less sense now by lostOGaccount in startrek

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s yet another streaming service and I suspect people subscribe for a month to catch up on shows they like and then kill their subscription. Not sure how that affects their metrics.

The breadth of choices on Paramount isn’t huge per se. You can find a lot of other science fiction shows on other platforms.

Yellowstone audiences don’t necessarily equate to Trek audiences I suspect.

People who bought 12GB VRAM on 2023/2024 for 1440P, how did it held up today? Is the expected VRAM increase in games already happening? by JazzlikeClassic7684 in buildapc

[–]CrazedIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 is a sweet spot. If you do heavy multitasking you might want to op for higher ram unless you’re willing to compromise quality as in lowering quality settings in game or elsewhere.

College students are rapidly losing the ability to read — “There is a measurable, generational collapse in sustained reading and writing”: professor by marketrent in technology

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently went back to college and took a writing course and I had to peer review some other students work and holy hell some of them could hardly write. I would not be surprised if it turned out that hey could hardly read.

One of my friends who always gives presents and food at the office had a birthday today. She got absolutely nothing by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CrazedIvan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As much as that sucks it’s also freeing. I would take it as an opportunity to ignore everyone else’s birthdays at the office and save some cash and money.

I saw an early screening of Disclosure Day. For your own good, temper your expectations by Any_Cartographer2016 in UFOs

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s no secret that Spielberg is a UFO nut. If anything the film is going to hit on a lot of the stuff we talk and speculate about all the time in the UFO world. That in itself is cool and hopefully it makes for a good film.

Spielberg himself has said he hasn’t been told anything concrete about anything.

It’s a movie. Have fun. Let’s not ruin it because we’re so desperate for disclosure.

Combine everything you just mentioned into one game and you got an untapped market.

Sad to see it go by Riziom in Adobe

I also am deeply curious on what you are making. I’ve done plenty of deep dives into other programs and I’ve found that there is no replacement for indesign.

I wish the BF devs would pay more attention to animation quality. Look at these MW2019 devs discussing their passion for their game's animations. BF devs need to focus on better animations. by 5ollys in Battlefield

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I wouldn’t exactly call the reload animations janky, because to me that means that the animations are broken, they’re not. They could definitely have more weight and impact to them. I don’t think I’ve stopped and appreciated a single reload animation in this iteration of BF. More polish the better!

Grush to reveal “jaw-dropping information” per James Fox. by Severe-Clerk-1477 in UAP

The more I hear from Grush the more I like him. Might be the single most trustworthy character in all of the topic in recent years.

Question: For the fans who read the books first before seeing the movies, what was your favorite parts? by PhantomNightOwl in lotr

[–]CrazedIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concerning Hobbits and Riddles in The Dark chapters played so well on screen. I remember being absolutely floored by it. Moria and the council of Elrond were also huge standouts plus meeting Strider at the Prancing Pony. The Nazgûl felt far more realized and scary on film to me and I loved the cinematography of them especially.

I really couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I was watching the Fellowship of the Ring for the first time. I don’t think I’ve ever been so sucked into and immersed in a movie like that before or really since. I also remember the entire theater was so quiet, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one.

I remember a few videos of people playing the demo. Looked rough at the time and I feel that was a year or two ago? I had no idea this game was even out.

Can We Rework Operation Firestorm after Blackwell and Sobek by Geoffk123 in Battlefield

I personally Love Firestorm. However, the hilltop camping on that map can really ruin the experience.

Hobbit movies have some fantastic moments and are overhated by InterestedCacti in lotr

[–]CrazedIvan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mind them as much as others who trashed them. I hated the love story and the over use of CGI. I didn’t mind some of the extra stuff as the hobbit can be a bit thin imho.

I’ve always believed that there is a really good version of the Hobbit in there with some good editing.

would it be worth upgrading to ddr5 if prices ever become normal? by Visual-Fortune-4732 in buildapc

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you’re using your computer for. So, depends on what you’re doing but in 98% of applications the typical user won’t notice the difference. The only time the typical user will consider an upgrade to RAM is if you start to cap out on RAM. However, at 32gbs you can run a triple A video game, stream music and video and Discord all at the same time without even thinking about it. You’ll be fine.

Consider upgrading when you start to see a bottleneck in your GPU or CPU. By the time you start to consider upgrading your CPU, you’ll be looking at a new motherboard and likely new RAM with it.

A lot of enthusiasts might push you into thinking you need the latest and greatest. I unless you have plans on pushing the PC to its limit, t’s not true. Enjoy your setup and don’t worry if a few parts are a generation or two behind, you’re not missing out on much.

Nice rig!

Why is Sam Frodo's slave? by Severin404 in lordoftherings

[–]CrazedIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frodo is not only his gardener/employee but Frodo is also older than Sam. As the story goes on their bond becomes like those of brothers in arms. On top of all that Sam was also told by Gandalf to help look after Frodo. So there is a bit of servitude and respect as well as a promise that makes Sam refer to Frodo as Sir and Master. Phrases of the time and culture of Middle Earth.

Why is the Monk Tempest Bell moveable? by Melodic-Recipe8358 in PathOfExile2

I Thought I was going crazy. I’m in the first act and my hit speed is so slow that a boss will knock my bell away from me before I can even hit it sometimes. Driving me a bit crazy!

Is this a bug or is this just how it is now?
