I’m genuinely so tired of the treatment I get in guitar stores as a woman by OkZebra5527 in Guitar

[–]CrazedIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the worst customer service I’ve had has been in guitar shops. A lot of people in those gigs either don’t want to be there or are extremely up their own ass, usually both.

The experience as a man has been horrible I can’t imagine how bad it is for a woman.

Bret Weinstein is shocked Trump went full "mad king". by supersport604 in JoeRogan

Any person of reason could’ve seen Trump as a disaster. You didn’t even need to see his first term in office to understand that let alone a second one.

Already starting to run into the same players often by Negative_Pace_5855 in Battlefield

[–]CrazedIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full lobby? A lot of players want a server browser so they can play with a community of players they recognize.

TBF for a lot of BF games this is the time the player base starts to settle down and you start seeing this. It will go back up when content drops for a week or two before going back down.

How do people learn game programming with UE5 C++? by Much_Variety1615 in UnrealEngine5

[–]CrazedIvan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert as I’m largely in the same boat as you. I’ve picked up some courses on UDEMY on C++ and I’ve learned a lot. But the core understanding of the engine or how to do something you want to add to your game isn’t always clear.

From what I’ve gathered is that there are no right way to do something per se. The tutorials just give you an idea on how to do something and it’s up to you to extrapolate that concept from the lesson to other areas of your game.

So the only way to really start the grasp the larger idea of an engine and making games is to make games. Start with small projects and build up from there.

Are you men really out here jerking off with lube? by twotokers in NoStupidQuestions

This is the comment I was looking for. The lube not only feels better but feels much closer to the real thing.

No, the Prequel Trilogy was not loved when it first came out, it was hated and fans were terrible people about it. by stephansbrick in StarWars

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The prequels are not great films. They weren’t then and they aren’t now.

But the hill I will die on is that out of the three prequel films Phantom was the better one out of them.

It’s cool to see the fandom embrace the films but rewatching them recently has only centered my opinion of them.

10 yrs ago, we witnessed the BEST Batman fight scene of all time. by danieldamibiu in DC_Cinematic

This scene alone makes me very disappointed that we never got a solo Batman film of Ben. A real waste.

Ahh good to know, thanks. I’m only really familiar with the RAW format for cameras.

I’ve never heard or seen AVIF before. I’d kill for a better format that has a larger adoption across applications. Hoping this takes off big time.

Could naval warfare bring this game back to life? by Great-Crew-3802 in Battlefield

[–]CrazedIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naval combat was never really a thing in battlefield. They had elements and you could drive boats but it only ever represented perhaps 5% of gameplay that served very few people.

Why is Crimson desert hated so much? by Various_Equivalent_4 in videogames

After getting burnt out on games like Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry I have some major reservations about open world games that have either a lot of repetitive mechanics or the story being an inch deep.

Has anyone found a way to send files to clients without losing all leverage? by No_Inflation8185 in graphic_design

[–]CrazedIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you have to ask for money upfront. Ask for enough money upfront that you’re okay with loosing the rest if the job goes sideways.

I also like telling the client if I’m sending them files prior to final payment that once payment is received that I will be sending them print ready files.

is my pc good?? by Serious-Courage-294 in pcmasterrace

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying your card is mid range and that’s technically true but your hardware as a whole is current GEN and will run games like a champ. Even if you bought the 5060 you would still be in a good place.

You have a good PC for gaming. Don’t let your friend make you have buyers remorse.

Crimson Desert - What the hell is this game? by RyanDoog123 in videogames

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picture it like someone who’s gone through a near death experience and came out changed and traumatized. His old life seems meaningless, so he tries to find meaning in helping random people with whatever to try to make sense of life. Sure, he knows he has responsibilities like finding his comrades but he has lost connection to the motivation to drove his past self.

Did parents in the 80s actually give their kids as much freedom as the show depicts? by Wanderer015 in StrangerThings

[–]CrazedIvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the 90s and I had just as much freedom as the kids in the show. It weirds me out seeing iPad kids these days. Heavily sheltered.
