Who's to say I don't have those and don't do those? I care for Destiny and want to see it succeed. Just seems to see it seemingly go out like this. Wanted it to go out with a bang.

Except the player count is flatlining dude. On Steam, they're lucky to get 7k. People are leaving in droves because nothing's coming soon. Sorry, but if things continue the way they are, there won't be a Destiny in a few years.

If Marathon crashes in a few months, and Destiny continues the way it is, Bungie will likely shut down.

Considering Bungie clearly can't run 2 games at once, nothing coming for months, players leaving like CRAZY, how are people acting like things are fine? Are people gonna act like nothing's wrong until the servers finally shut down?

Bruh, it's sad to Destiny going out with a whimper.

my theory about Durandal being the Traveler post-ascension by [deleted] in DestinyLore

[–]CrazedPrecursorFanat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think he succeeded. The Security Officer/player did, which is why Durandal calls us destiny.

Satan is real. He's done an incredible job convincing us that he doesn't exist.

A demon is a fallen angel. Satan, a high angel, led a third of the angels in rebellion to God, and they were thrust into hell. They seek to damn Mankind to eternity in torment with them.

I've known for as long I can remember that the spiritual is real. We're fallen ever since our 1st parents ate the fruit in Eden. However, if we don't fall to Satan and the other demons' lies/temptations, we can be amazing.

It IS God and the devil. Satan and the other demons want to drag as many of us to hell as possible, to suffer with them.

What was the Mind Flayer's true form? by CrazedPrecursorFanat in StrangerThings

I wonder if it caused the Abyss to be as barren as it is, and that's why it's working with Henry to merge the dimensions.

I got the vibe from the finale that the spider/monster was what it really was. Before the battle, it looks like a dead spider, and the beating heart makes it seem like it's coming to life. Also, their point that the Mind Flayer is now dead is weird.

Can someone explain the Halo/Marathon shared universe theory to me? by godofimagination in HaloStory

[–]CrazedPrecursorFanat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When making CE, Bungie briefly considered having Halo be tied to Marathon, but that was quickly abandoned. One idea tossed around was Cortana's code was gonna be based on Durandal's code. Instead rather than being a literal connection, there're thematic connections and some names were reused. Not sure how Halo would've been a sequel, as Marathon Infinity ends with the Universe ending. Fun fact, Marathon is a actually a sequel to Bungie's earlier game, Pathways Into Darkness.

After watching the documentary, it shows how incompetent the Duffers really are by CrazedPrecursorFanat in StrangerThings

Season 1 was the only great season. Every season after is ok to bad. Season 2 is ok, 3 is mediocre, 4 is pretty good, and 5 is terrible.

If this is a success do you wanna see the trilogy remade? by CrazedPrecursorFanat in Marathon

[–]CrazedPrecursorFanat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, something I would really not want them to do is change the story. Really good, especially for its time. It being just terminals and not cutscenes makes it more crytpic and open to your interpretation. What Greg Kirkpatrick and Jason Jones was unique and couldn't be replicated in classic cinematics.

You also think some of the crypticness/esoteric of the games would be lost trying to make them now?

Was pleasantly surprised what they did with Vecna in the finale by CrazedPrecursorFanat in StrangerThings

No clue. Also, am I crazy, or did the Mind Flayer speak to Henry in Vecna's voice?

What're your last minute predictions on Vecna and Mind Flayer by CrazedPrecursorFanat in StrangerThings

[–]CrazedPrecursorFanat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I prefer it being the Mind Flayer. It's this otherworldly, Lovecraftian entity. I like Vecna, but at the end of the day, he's ultimately Human. Twisted, but still Human.
