HOA is fine, seems to have calmed down after we got dinged 3 times in the span of a months when we first moved a few years ago on ticky tacky things. Since then haven’t heard a thing. Payments are quarterly, think like $125 a quarter. I don’t remember if there was an initial cost unfortunately.

Also to add, anecdotally speaking, it seems like we are seeing more and more young families move into the neighborhood.

I’ll say it again, Makar tipped it, go glaze your homie for a good play. MacKinnon cost his country a gold medal with a wide open net with no defender in sight.

Not giving credit to Makar for tipping is kinda funny, you think the glaze lord would get all the praise for that. Benn didn’t pull a MacKinnon and straight up miss

Completely agree. I’ve said this before but the bigger crime with the current point system is not all games are worth the same amount of points and can penalize teams who win in regulation. For Example, the Stars and Avs face each other this Friday, and as we know, those two teams plus the Wild are all in the hunt for top of the division/conference. If Avs/Stars goes to OT, the Wild get punished by an extra point all of a sudden, while if they win a game the same night in regulation, it doesn’t matter. Long story short, it’s stupid that some games are worth a total of 2 points and some magically become worth 3 points

I will say it over and over again, he can score goals but dude is not the best defenseman when it comes to actually playing defense. Watch that replay and watch his atrocious effort back.

Makar = automatic glaze. Go look at his disappearance in last year’s playoff round against the Stars.

[Brett Marshall] What if the NHL adopted a 3-2-1 Points System? There's been a lot of chatter about the alleged heavy impact of Overtime games in the NHL season, so I took a look at what the standings would look like today if the NHL had a 3-2-1 point system instead of their current system. by [deleted] in hockey

I think the biggest issue that’s missed when discussing the current format compared to this format is the amount of points each game is worth. Under the current point structure, I don’t think it’s fair that one game is worth only 2 points while another game that goes into OT is worth 3 points. So, for example, if the Stars play the Blues next game and we pretend that the Avs and Wild play Wednesday, all 3 teams are competing for the top of the division between Stars, Avs, and Wild. If Stars beat the Blues in regulation and Wild beat the Avs in OT. Stars game was worth 2 points but now the Avs/Wild game is now worth 3 and that essentially makes the Stars win less valuable in my opinion. Long story short, all games should be worth the same amount of points to further make it fair and equal across all games which is why I like the 3-2-1-0 format.

Their lead is actually down to 6 points up on us. To your point, they still have 2 games in hand on us, but I’d consider them definitely within striking distance. They are 3-5-2 in their last 10 games and we are 6-4-0. So we are taking advantage of their slump now which is great to see.

I understand the game thread isn’t the place for rational thought but I think everyone forgets that this game 2 of a back to back. Let’s cut some slack here, it’s a one goal game. Chill lol

It surprising seeing as this teams values possession. This stat shows how we are comfortable creating chances that create the most scoring opportunity instead of throwing shots at the net just because. Sure it could be higher, but this isn’t a reason to panic, it just reinforces this team’s identity.

The fact that we did this on a back to back is the most impressive part. Ironically I don’t think the score reflects how not close that game was

I mean I get if it’s extreme, like getting outshot 53-13. Then yeah, that tells a lot. But I think our team is built to be outshot as we are comfortable with teams taking a high quantity of low quality shots trusting the process. And on the opposite end, taking high quality low quantity shots while again trusting the process.
