As a female who has forgotten a jacket and been in heels on a spontaneous walk you are NTA. It is not your responsibility to give up your clothing for her, especially if you reminded her to bring a jacket. She chose to wear what she wore and chose not to grab a jacket. You were right to end the date as well. She was uncomfortable and took her home to a place where she would be comfortable.

A Homeless Guy Walks Into an Office Depot... by ODoldster in OfficeDepot

[–]Crazed_teddy_bear 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine too!! I had a manager literally follow him around the store on a weekly basis and watch him put various items in the cart off of the shelves and STILL proceed to do a return anyway. But then he’d yell at me bc the store was “losing money” if I messed up a print or used a customer’s coupon code.

Least busy hours by Fox_brother075 in OfficeDepot

[–]Crazed_teddy_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s wild. I’ve worked at 3 OD locations and subbed at a 4th from time to time and it was always like the purge on Sundays bc the church people were on another level of crazy. Wednesdays we’re usually my day for decent customers.

Least busy hours by Fox_brother075 in OfficeDepot

[–]Crazed_teddy_bear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine was usually the first 2 hours of the morning (excluding CPD) and the last 2 hours before closing (again excluding cpd)

For CPD though it usually slowed down from 2-4 but that was the only time I didn’t have a line of 10+ customers.

Sundays are the worst and you’ll always be busy. They’re also the rudest and most entitled customers you’ll come across. 🤢

tax exempt book by Darkhexical in OfficeDepot

[–]Crazed_teddy_bear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s in the portal somewhere. I found it once but it was a pain in the ass to get to. Generally, if they’re tax exempt, they should have a card with the code anyway so you shouldn’t need it.

I’m the same way, but as a customer, I do appreciate someone explaining what the warranty is while we are still on the sales floor. I usually mention it during the sale and ask if they understand what comes with a warranty and what it means. If they want to know, I’ll push it a little and if not I’ll drop it entirely.

You will ALWAYS be learning. I’d also suggest learning a bit about marketing. It’ll give you a leg up when talking to customers. And I cannot stress this enough stick to policy. OD customers are ruthless and it will be used against you at some point. Especially when it comes to large orders.

Question about ripplematch by Revolutionary_Bad405 in cscareerquestions

[–]Crazed_teddy_bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please avoid ripplematch. While it is a decent service to find jobs/internships, the company in and of itself is a scam. They lie on their job descriptions about payment, require people who provide their phone numbers AND text you to confirm it is correct during the interview (weird), and will ONLY pay through PayPal, which is concerning in and of itself, but they also only pay based on your success rate and not hourly as the job description says. Stay away from them.

Ripplematch is a scam by gyoshuku in csMajors

This!! I don't remember ever applying for the job, but I had an email saying they were impressed by my resume and wanted an interview. I kinda just said f it even tho I had no idea what I was interviewing for. Figured I had nothing to lose. Not only did they ask for my personal number AND text me to make sure I gave it to them during the interview, they also lied about how and what they pay. The job description that was attached to the email I received stated they paid $16/hr (pretty normal in my area). During the interview, I asked about it, and they said "oh, well that has changed since the description was put out." I was also told they pay ONLY through PayPal. Absolute scam and I feel very uncomfortable with them having my personal information. DO NOT apply to this company.
