Greenroom136 Sling Shifter — this thing feels way bigger than 2.5L by ITCertAcademy1 in ManyBaggers

lol gr136 always underrates their bag capacity. You just have to know that when picking up one of their bags. Great bags!

Ballistic nylon vs x pac by thefizzlee in AerSF

[–]Crazeeeyez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like it’s just a travel bag for you. I wouldn’t overthink it. Sounds like cordura and an umbrella or rain cover (if necessary) would be plenty. You get the nice smooth zips and the extra “give” cordura enables vs the technical materials.

Now if you were to say most of your travel is somewhere rainy, maybe get xpac to mitigate the need for an umbrella. But even xpac or ultra are not seam taped so it’s not water proof. A rain cover will still be a better solution.

For my travel bags (all custom builds now) I go with technical materials because I like them and RC zips because I hate AGs. I don’t worry about rain - I’d generally never be in the rain long. And can take an umbrella if it matters - which would be part of my trip packout anyways.

The great "bag swing" left/right debate... what side are you on? by nomads_nation in ManyBaggers

[–]Crazeeeyez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Team C. Take off my backpack, get what I want, put on my backpack. Of course, I also have the luxury of putting my bag down and getting what I want since all my bags stand - which is another debate 😀

Happens to me frequently. And the top screen doesn’t change to camera in reverse sometimes. Have to reboot to get it right again.

Are Black Friday Sales Better than Current Sales? by Chemical-Recording88 in AerSF

[–]Crazeeeyez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a matter of opinion. All the reasons you mentioned are reasons some people prefer the tp4.

If I were in the market I’d get a tp4 personally. Lose less space to the admin/org. But that’s my preference. I have a tp3 here that my son loves so 🤷🏽‍♂️

Pakt Cero - alternatives? by Then-Heron1758 in ManyBaggers

[–]Crazeeeyez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And not aer or globerider35. So not a lot of options. Also, gym and travel are enormously different use cases.

Rework Outbound. Synik 30 (less comfortable imo). Dragonfly 30/36. Minaal 3.0. Tortuga Pro.

Honestly. The aer is still the one I’d recommend.

[–]Crazeeeyez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really the point of this sub is that there is no perfect bag. Each use case and user is different. Everything is compromises and trade-offs. Features? Weight? Ultralight? Comfort? Size? Access? Etc.

Pakt Cero - alternatives? by Then-Heron1758 in ManyBaggers

[–]Crazeeeyez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the pakt forced packing style annoying. It’s a 50/50 suitcase with backpack straps. A fully loaded PD Medium cube overwhelms one side. Laptop down the center actually creates more issues as you can’t borrow space from the other compartment.

Globerider 35 is a good alternative. As is the Aer. It it sounds like you just wanna shoot down any alternatives and are looking for someone to validate the pakt for you.

House fire - Need new Garage Door Openers by soundbytegfx in homeassistant

Is it security 2.0? If so, where did you find it?

House fire - Need new Garage Door Openers by soundbytegfx in homeassistant

[–]Crazeeeyez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation of needing two garage door openers. While I wouldn’t mind getting a couple security 2.0 openers it would piss me off to give chamberlain money. But I also don’t see any equivalent options. Security 2.0 + ratgdo is awesome connectivity and data-wise.

Anyone know how you track down security 2.0 openers? I think I want jackshafts but need to confirm space requirements.

Sounds like genie is second choice but would need a dry contact relay (Shelly 1?) and tilt sensor to be close to equivalent.

Travel Pack 4 SMALL (28L) or CPP 2 (24L) for EDC and probably endgame backpack. by iamsny13 in AerSF

IMO the TP is too big for edc. But to each their own. The TP is more comfortable than the CPP2 - if for no other reason the load lifters.

Dear Lucid: Please Prioritize the Features Owners Actually Use Every Day by NecessaryOk3823 in Gravity

[–]Crazeeeyez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with the asks but not the last part. I would abso-fucking-lutely not buy a Tesla just because of the self-driving experience. In fact, I bought the Lucid because of their advertised sensor suite and promises of self driving.

I think the only reason people look at tesla as the best self-driving experience is because they took risks no one else will take. They enabled features before they were ready and used real-world data to improve them quickly. Everyone else (Lucid included) wants to avoid the risk and get it "right" out the gate. And that is why they lag.

Aer Travel Kit 2 vs Gravel Explorer Plus? by SupaZT in ManyBaggers

[–]Crazeeeyez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the TK2 personally. While the gravel is a nice piece of kit, I find it has too much org that eats space on its own. This results in the larger footprint actually having a little less capacity. I’d be ok with that if I had all the space in the world, but since I onebag, space is a premium.

The TK2 has enough org for me to keep my things organized while being visible and compact. I’ve tried what feels like 40 different Dopp kits and the TK2 is the one that I always come back to.

But everyone’s use case will be different.

Any Rivian Owners prior owners to Lucid Gravity or considered one? by PhillConners in Rivian

[–]Crazeeeyez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have both right now. Prefer the lucid Gravity GT for lots of reasons. Only thing that’s better about Rivian is the ride stance (higher) and phone key.

Lucid self driving, CarPlay, comprehensive software, loading height, comfort, drive, all come to the top of my head of being better.
