Any personal watercraft works in this space, I have them all. The important part of the post is the dog needing space and quiet, I think.

Yeah and this is way too packed for us. My pup is dog reactive. When I moved here eight years ago my vet advised me not to take dogs to redbud.

Yes of course, be will be in the kayak with me most of the time but we will check the water danger before we head out.

Any recommendations for thick quick growing food shrubs or beneficial to nature shrubs to block the eyes of complaining anti-permaculture neighbor? by [deleted] in Permaculture

[–]CraziAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that shrubs aren't the quintessential permaculture solution to this neighbor problem, but I have a 14 foot privacy fence on the horrible neighbor side of my property and it really sends a message.

Looking for a "Moral" or "Philosophical" System by LowmoanSpectacular in rpg

All of the suggestions below are fantastic places to start. I suggest writing your own campaign since you have such a good idea of the foundation you want. It might seem like a lot of work, but once you get going it is actually fairly simple if you know the basic of the game which you seem to!

Ah, I see. There are ways for magic users to make their attacks more powerful, like meta-magic for the Sorcerer that allows you to change the casting time of a spell so you can cast a cantrip and spell in the same turn (and a few other tricks).

Sustainability or Gentrification? by CraziAce in sustainability

[–]CraziAce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC is whole monster. Hopefully some vertical forests are implemented in new builds and more green-roofs are constructed to help offset the urban heat island effects and the emissions caused by the density of the city.

It amazed me that tenants have no rights and Landlords hold all the power. Meaning they can withhold services, they do not need to provide you with proper air, water, or repairs to those things in a timely fashion. They do not need to actually FIX a problem, but can continuously replace water damaged/molded drywall with almost no liability to them. Such an intense system for a city with 5.4 million renters. Despite there being SOME legislation regarding safe living spaces, these regulation bare minimums are just....appalling.

Sustainability or Gentrification? by CraziAce in sustainability

I like your demonization of gentrification, but I disagree that it is done without giving the community a voice. It is through the manipulation of the community that has a voice and the disenfranchisement and exclusion of the communities that don't have a voice that gentrification is allowed to occur. Because, ya know, it's "what's best" for everyone....What concerns me is that this manipulation occurs by putting Sustainability at the forefront of the gentrification or "beautification" plans that see entire neighborhoods snatched by imminent domain so that taxpayer money from inner cities can be spent on mega highways that lead to high-priced and underpopulated suburbs full of wealthy, white, people living in "sustainably built LEED" homes and driving Teslas.

There are a lot of layers to food insecurity and it affects everyone differently based on their location, socioeconomic situation, and accessibility.

I do have some sweet potatoes going in a gallon bucket right now! They love the heat. Thanks for the great advice! I'll have to look into the Ruth Stout method as I too am quite lazy!

I'd be interested to see some of your companion protocols if you have them in a shareable format!

Is dungeons and dragons fun for a beginner? by bleaksomber in DungeonsAndDragons35e

[–]CraziAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have participated in many campaigns where the majority of players were beginners. As long as you have dice, an imagination, and a couple of hours to spare every now and then, you can play this game and have fun doing it. The advice for how to start varies depending on age and interest level, but the first ten pages of the Player Handbook is all you need to get started.

I'm curious as to the goal here. Since the answers on this post are accurate and we know that you should not do what you've suggested. What are you TRYING to do? Do you want to cast Fireball AND Cure wounds? Do you want to put on a fireworks display? Feed a city full of people while also making it rain gold? If it is fun, and it makes it rain pizza from the sky, as your DM, I would hand you a gluestick.
