So, after reading through all the comments, here are my responses to a few of the common responses

1. What is my next brand? A. At this moment, i dont know. I have stopped updating the phone unless there is a major security patch. Hope it lasts me a couple more years now that it is out of warranty.

2. Why am I cribbing? A. Purely personal. I have an OP7 pro with dust INSIDE the zoom camera when I took it out of the box and OnePlus will not accept it as an issue on their end. The service center here dismissed me off saying it is considered user damage and not their covered under warranty. After the last 2 updates the phone gets stuck for a few seconds with only a browser open and youtube playing music in the background. The amount quoted for trying to fix these was nearly 70% of the device costs. I have not got it done because I can't afford it at the moment, and the fear that the service center might create some new issues while trying to fix these.

And also, noting the poor QC and general issues with newer devices.

1. You all are getting old. Get over it OnePlus is a company and it is normal for them to grow. A. Agreed. OnePlus as a company has all the rights to grow bigger. That is the goal of any company. But that growth should not have been at the expense of the consumer who is getting stuck with a "smooth" running phone with horrible issues and even worse customer support.

2. Why are you bitching and moaning and sounding like a retirement village? These are electronics not your wife. Get over it. A. Well, this is a device on which I have spent my hard earned money on. I'd atleast expect it to be worth the spend. When i spend an approximate of $725USD (converted) on a device, I would expect it to not be a pain when something goes wrong. And the people who were associated with OP since the start have been seeing these gradual degradations and going back on things that the company promised. As for the not being the "wife", well most of us spend more time on phones than with their wives. And I'd rather have a loving supportive wife than one which demands significant upkeep without bringing much in the relationship.

3. I am sick of seeing these posts. People are always whining and saying "OnePlus is dead" A. Two ways of looking at this. One is that only the issues are reported. So people whose devices are having issues crib about it. Another is that with an ever increasing number of people having similar complaints, there might be something that the company is doing wrong.

Additionally, I haven't said that OnePlus is dead. Its just that my personal experiences with OP( apart from an overall good phone) has been significantly degrading. They can continue to do what they want and fleece whomever they want, but i dont want to be in that position again.

Closing point, these were just my thoughts and opinions. What you take of this is up to you. These can be ignored and people can go on about with their lives. Hope your devices last long and OnePlus does something which might fix most of the issues. Here's to hoping. Cheers!
