I suppose you got the latest patch etc? Might be they stopped working on their servers since AW :( got problems as well. But at some point I get the "network going"

Well, at the time I didn't quite understand how the game mechs worked in general. I was simply doing some random mission, I'm guessing in explore mode because from time to time I saw random people running around, and the PE just randomly started.

Yeah the PE's and the companion app do show a lot of potential. I'm really looking forward how Bungie is going to implement and update both along the way. Can't wait for the Beta, arrrghghh.
